Jflex07: We r talking about entertainment here. Did u read my first post well? I said I support banning of bad music/videos. it is not my place to tell them wat to do. You can also add that they should stop sending their children abroad to school, vacationing abroad, buying private jets manufactured by the "abroad" people and getting treatments abroad too. Since you know how to tell them. next time read well before quoting. aburo hypocrite 1 Like |

jt2010:i doubt you have been reading my replies, there are a million ways to achieve a target and some methods would actually cause more problems as it is ... There are better ways to help that industry if the govt thinks it needs help and these method or strategy or whatever you might call it is the least of them all. Before they arrived at this conclusion have they even conducted a poll to ask nigerians who are the major stakeholders and consumers of this industry if they would prefer an all made nigeria production? Have they considered why they even go abroad for shoots? Have they tried to correct the possible problems prompting them to shoot abroad ? Whats the basis for their conclusion? Have they helped to curb piracy? Have they made the structure standard such that artistes are entitled to their royalties? Have they built structures that will attract foreign entertainers to shoot in nigeria frequently? 1 Like |

ARREST THEM!! See The Reply APC Gave To Psquare On Ban Of Video Shooting Abroad F.G falls them son of. The devil The statement read in full; We read the scurrilous remarks credited to Mr Peter Okoye of the Psquare group against the Federal Government’s job-saving policy in the entertainment industry with great anger and vexation. Least of all persons to make scathing remark against the government is the Psquare group which the local content policy of the Federal Government dusted-up from the valley of obscurity. Where was Peter Okoye or Psquare brand in 1999 when foreign music dominated our airwaves? If not for the government policy which mandated all broadcast stations in Nigeria to pay attention to Nigerian music by playing 95 percent of Nigerian songs every day, would Peter Okoye or Psquare be known to anybody in Nigeria today? Or would they have competed with better American music which dominated our airwaves then? After the government have used its policy to brush them up from nothing to something; instead of giving opportunity to other people, they are taking Nigerian jobs to foreign countries through the shooting of music videos abroad. Now that government have intervened to raise great and better entertainers again, Peter Okoye has the gut to insult the entire Federal Government by calling our great leaders ‘Ndi Ala’ which means mad and stupid people. How dare you say that Psquare? http://www.allgossips.ml/2017/07/arrest-them-see-reply-apc-gave-to.html |

[quote author=kettykin post=58561053] Point of correction hypcritical and satanic APC , it was the PDP government that was responsible for the regeneration of the Music industry with the Government policy that mandated the playing of 95 percent of Nigerian songs every day. No government shuld cum n take credit,,as far as d entertainment world is concern it grew n becum a venture to reckon wit make possible the entertainers themselves,,,b4 1999 their was no plantation boiz,,remedies,,p square,,jazzman... n others these ar guys that gave nigerian hip hop tunes in naija flavor.. kennis music and dj jimmy jat gave the d hip hop artiste d platform to showcase there talent wen d govt neva cared nd d society look down on those artiste. if govt came up wit 95% play,,, hw many tv station were available then ,,aside kennis which other show was on tv to promote naija hip hop.... we all aint kids 1 Like |

Apc foolish sha. They think everything is to be done by arresting ppl. Simply have a meeting and discourse with ppl in the industry, all the can think of is tyranny attitude. Well d president is a tyrant so its normal. Beside the nigerian industry grew beta because the shoot videos outside alot n that was how many outside nigeria got to knw them. Beside a medical treatment abroad should b ban too. Arrest the president. If Nigeria had a good environment foreign musicians would come here to to shoot videos. So apc shld justshut up 2 Likes |

Saying this government is confused, is only buh a compliment.they should face the pressing need of the country,if they want to truly patronize the Nigerian market, they should start by undergoing their medical check ups here in the country and not abroad.this is the typical example of someone who's house is on fire chasing, chasing rats.the government has never cared about empowerment of the youth, now that the youths are using their God given talent, they want to hinder their progress all in the name of reforms,if u don't want them shooting their videos abroad, make Nigeria better, shikina! 1 Like |

A bunch of jobless nonentities calling themselves APC youth renaissance spewed some trash about them, Is that something to worry about? Re: APC Replies P'square On Ban On Video Shooting Abroad: You Are A Son Of Darkness by jt2010: 7:33am On Jul 18, 2017 |
Nosikebit: your statements are generalist in nature and not address the core to the policy. The local contents we are talking about is gear towards increase the amount of local contents in music videos and restriction shotting of music videos abroad. because your vague statement of royalties is out of place, do the artists showing the video mostly in SA give them royalties. Are you saying the same video shot abroad are still not pirated. Why will a foreign artists shot video in naija when naija artists are not willing to lead. Common, we know their are challenges but do we keep complaining and not do anything. |

I see no reason why government should step into the issue of where they should shoot music videos since its not the government that is sponsoring them. Music is business, shooting music videos outside the country will give musicians more popularity which brings more profit than shooting it in Nigeria, if they) the music industry don't get their return on investment(ROI) in shooting video in Nigeria , will the government reimburse them? We all know the answer to that,so government should let them be and face major issues troubling the nation like boko haram, fulani herdsman, Kidnappers, greedy politicians and so on. |

Useless country: Federal government to barn musicians from shooting music videos abroad. And some clowns supported saying, "Do foreigners come to Nigeria to shoot videos?" And my question is "What for?" What is working here? Who leaves road and enter bush? How can some people be reasoning from their anus? How many times do foreigners come to Nigeria for medical treatment? How many white people bring their children for school in Nigeria? What is in Nigeria if not corruption, disunity and anarchy? Nothing is working in this zoo called country. Leave musicians to shoot videos anywhere they want to shoot videos. If musicians must come back, the President Buhari must also come back to Nigeria for treatment. All politicians children schooling abroad must also come back and school here. No more traveling abroad for any business. Of all the problems this country is facing, a normal human been would wake up one morning and begin to say rubbish. Nonsense country. Very useless! So angry with this trash called one Nigeria. |
