Gone are the days when you are able to differentiate between parents and their kids. Now, it's different. Except if you are familiar with a particular family or maybe by virtue of size and wisdom, you rarely know how to distinguish.
Below is a list of some of the things modern parents do.
1. Joining all social media account: There is no big deal in trying to be updated. But it becomes funny when they start telling you to help them update the app, check their spellings and so on. They try to stalk you sometimes to see who is liking your pictures and so on.
2. They take selfie seriously; these days, parents don't go out without taking pictures. When they take selfies, you can't help but laugh as some of the selfies look like passport.
3. Keeping up with latest songs: there is almost no song Nigerian parents don't know. the way they sing along and dance to the songs, you just start to wonder. They even argue about who sang the song and so on.
4. They dress like us: civilization has taken over. Now parents compete with us to wear denim, ripped jean, make up on fleek, blazer, dress and so on. They keep up with trending styles.
5. They are too anxious to know your partner: those days, when you are in a relationship, it is almost treated like a secret and you try to keep it away from your parents as sign of respect. Now,they are always the first to know, they chat them up privately and do their own investigation. lol.
6. They are now suddenly lazy lol: They are so engrossed with the movie, chat and so on that they send you on unnecessary errands. They tell you to help pick remote, type a message, close door, do this and that at the same time.
