Just installed autodesk 3d max 2017 and maya 2017. There are some crazy new features. Although I have noticed some bugs like it's viewport and importing projects from previous versions, it's still way better than 2014. Hopefully would start working on some new projects with them.

where did you download 3d max pls. Is it free. What site?
