plutohunter:Read your Bible. It's not for decoration. You should know that Jesus was not referring to physical father but spiritual father. He asked us not to be like the Pharisees. So you should know that he couldn't have meant "father" in its earthly sense. |

plutohunter:So, it is now impossible to follow Christ? What makes it impossible to make heaven in what I have stated. Is it so difficult to stop calling a fellow Christian your spiritual father? Or is it so difficult to stop believing in the bullshit that some people are anointed by God and others are not? |

yanabasee:You made salient points. The underlying problem with Christians is, " MOST CHRISTIANS GO TO CHURCH FOR GOD TO SOLVE THEIR NEEDS ", so the shepherds now harp unto their weaknesses to scam them. Now, i worship God because " I LOVE GOD ".. The man whom you are running to in order to solve your problem has more problems than you. When you present yourself as a patient to a medical doctor, be ready to accept all his prescriptions, even if he decides to write pregnancy drugs just to cure your HEADACHE. Before now, i refused to accept that most so called pastors are scammers, i just got full conviction, this 2017, that majority of pastors are working for their pockets. I am not judging anyone but i am talking from my own personal experiences with them. Hunger and Greed drives them. They are mortal men like you. May God forgive me for calling my fellow man DADDY. |

BluntBoy:The point is though you and i have sentiments about believers taking some things to extremes due to inadequate study to see their new creation realities, we must be careful not to go the other extreme by saying believer's will go to hell for things that become clearer to them as they grow So in your opinion there shouldn't be teachers, pastors and other ministry gifts in the church? |

| Re: Why Many Christians May Burn In Hell by BluntBoy(op): 10:39pm On Jul 23, 2017 |
plutohunter:It's not my opinion. It is what the Lord says. The church is the body of Christ. And it has only one teacher and pastor who is our Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who tells you that he is a pastor or teacher in a church (a body of Christ) should be reminded that everyone is equal in the body of Christ. Even if you are one of the most knowledgeable persons in the body, you can't seperate yourself from the others by claiming to have special anointing and by calling yourself a pastor or teacher. |

BluntBoy:This is quite funny, now I see why you're so confused There shouldn't be pastors, evangelists, prophets, teachers, apostles in the church since we all have the same spirit of God It seems to me that you've concluded Paul and other apostles preached a different Gospel than Jesus' Mehnnn, you need time to think and meditate bro I'm beginning to wonder which bible you've been reading |
| Re: Why Many Christians May Burn In Hell by BluntBoy(op): 12:28am On Jul 24, 2017 |
plutohunter:The word "Apostle" had two forms in the Bible. First, it was used for the disciples of Christ who later became apostles. These people were the foundational pillars of the Church. They were twelve and chosen to be Twelve. When Judas died, Peter talked to the others concerning a replacement. They had to bring the number back to 12. Paul would later claim to have been chosen as one of the foundational pillars even though he had to continually defend his apostleship. The second form of apostleship is what we, as Christians, are. We have all been called to preach the gospel. Oyedepo is not anymore of an apostle than I am. We all bear the same responsibility. Our responsibilities are not to sit in a building and listen to Oyedepo who supposedly bears a more special title and anointing than us. Our responsibilities are to work together as a body to spread the Good News all over the world. |

Well, please lets open our Bible about Pastors 1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 12:29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Ephesians 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Romans 1:1, Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 1 Corinthians 1:1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Chris t through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2 Corinthians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia: Galatians 1:1 Paul, apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead ![]() and the list goes on and on. About calling people Daddy Acts 15:32 And Judas and Silas, being prophets Also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them. Acts 21:8 And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. 1 Timothy 1:2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. Titus 1:4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. Philemon 1:10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: About man of God being anointed Romans 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; 1 Timothy 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hand of the presbytry James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: Thanks for your time |

GodsMopol:What do you know about Paul? Would you rather follow Paul at the expense of Jesus and the Twelve Apostles who were the foundational pillars of the Church? Tell me which of the Twelve Apostles asked anyone to call them leaders or pastors or daddy or fathers? Paul claims to be an apostle with the same standing as the Twelve but the only proof he has are the ones he made in his own writing. Why did Paul later cut all contacts with the Twelve? |
| Re: Why Many Christians May Burn In Hell by GodsMopol: 2:07pm On Jul 24, 2017 |
BluntBoy:would I follow Paul when Paul said I have received of the Lord John 20:16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. 1 Corinthians 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: Matthew 10:2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Luke 7:28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than John BluntBoy:Dude, I really wanna quit arguing with you. All I would say is, you don't believe the Bible at all. because Paul was converted and he preached the.gospel. Paul went about preaching the gospel, he faced what God called him to do. In your original Post, you mentioned evangelism and you are mentioning Paul breaking up, first thing, they broke up once and they came back please where did Paul break away as you claim, more so, see what Peter said about Paul 2 Peter 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. BluntBoy:Loooooooool, Must they say so how do you view the Bible. A book that just says everything I guess. hear what John said. John 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. |

GodsMopol:You are making this very tiring. Most of your statements are off-point. Could you explain why you boldened John 20:16 and Matthew 10:2? Read 2 John 1:10-11. But I will like to know why you made BOLD the verses I wrote above. |
| Re: Why Many Christians May Burn In Hell by BluntBoy(op): 2:45pm On Jul 24, 2017 |
GodsMopol:Paul claimed to have been converted but he was not of the Twelve. There are only Twelve Apostles who were the pillars. Paul was not among them. He was a Pharisee who claimed to have been converted. Many of his teachings contradicted the words of our Lord. He had problems with the Twelve and soon cut himself off. He began to model his ministry just as the Pharisees. Jesus asked us never to call anyone teacher. The Twelve never asked anyone to call them teachers. But Paul went about equating himself with the Twelve and calling brethren his sons. It is against what Jesus wanted for the Church. |
| Re: Why Many Christians May Burn In Hell by plutohunter: 3:17pm On Jul 24, 2017 |
BluntBoy:Since I've established that you don't believe in the writings of Paul nor his apostleship, I'll conclude there's no point debating with you Only if you'll be sincere to yourself will you see that many things Jesus said cannot be fully grasped till you study the epistles .Jesus said things based on his audience, sometimes harsh words to show the Pharisees the futility of their dependence on their works How do you explain Jesus' statement "except your righteousness exceeds that of the Pharisees you'll by no means enter the kingdom of heaven" |
| Re: Why Many Christians May Burn In Hell by BluntBoy(op): 5:20pm On Jul 24, 2017 |
plutohunter:The quote is very simple. Jesus never said the Pharisees were not righteous. He only had problems with their righteousness which was only outward. The Pharisees knew the law and Jesus liked that. But they were not righteous inwards. They prayed for their enemies in the synagogues for everyone to see but inwardly, they continued to hate their enemies. Now, Jesus wants us to surpass such righteousness. What Jesus means is that he wants his flock to be righteous inwardly and outwardly and not just outwardly like the Pharisees. |
| Re: Why Many Christians May Burn In Hell by BluntBoy(op): 5:28pm On Jul 24, 2017 |
plutohunter:OK, explain why Jesus asked that no one be called leaders and father in the body but Paul went about calling people his children? How does that make Jesus's words clearer? |
| Re: Why Many Christians May Burn In Hell by GodsMopol: 5:40pm On Jul 24, 2017 |
BluntBoy:I regret seeing your post on FP. To be sincere. It does not deserve FP at all. More so, Jesus can't send people to hell because they called someone teacher, Jesus was called Rabbi on many occasion, Jesus was called teacher on various occasion. Nicodemus called Jesus Rabbi. Christianity on NL is facing many persecutions, STOP BACKSTABBING |
| Re: Why Many Christians May Burn In Hell by BluntBoy(op): 7:36pm On Jul 24, 2017 |
GodsMopol:My brother, please, where in my posts did I say Jesus should not be called Rabbi? As a matter of fact, my position has always been that we are the body of Christ and he is our head, teacher, and leader. I wrote that the practice of placing a fellow Christian over you and giving them special title in Church was against the teaching of Christ who said that we are one flock and He is our shepherd. Please, my thread never asked anyone not to call Christ Rabbi. |

BluntBoy:okay ooooooh Its just paining that you have given many more reason to discredit the Bible because of some third hand information you chose to believe. believe what you want, if you want say what you want about Jesus or become an atheist, I care no more. I do say Jehovah Witness are Antichrist but your upgrade is mad. Funny enough you are wearing wool |

kullozone:God is not like that. He knows we are not yet perfect, so He sent Holy Spirit to help us out. He is not just one big Daddy sitted on one gold chair throwing people to fire with pleasure. Hebrews 4:15-16 says, 'For we do not have an High Priest that cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities; He was tempted at all points yet without sin. Therefore let us then approach God's Throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of our need' |
