OP it seems you're not well vast with what is called budget airlines...they are not even meant to serve you food for such flights...that is even complimentary...take for example airasia they don't give food only if you order in-flight or preorder when booking the flight online or at the counter...my flight from malaysia to singapore and other places I didn't add the food option as it would increase the price of the flight so meaning my one or even seven hours flight to japan I had no food...if you claim the food is just 200 naira what about the air hostesses they have to pay for the duration of the flight? imagine if they were not serving those snacks then they can make do one just two air hostesses instead of four or five...so they are doing you a favour cos they know you Nigerians will complain even if they give food or not...

if i may ask which airline those better, because to my record american airline you have to buy your food on board, you heard me well, they give you nothing,if you want something pay for it and guess what you would pay more than 22,000 for a one hours flight,Nigerian never see anything good in themself, slave mentality

marvelck:
Imagine what a passenger was given as food/snack while travelling with Aero Airline from Lagos-Port Harcourt after paying about N22k as flight ticket. Imagine serving each passenger one small pack of happy hour juice, 50 naira biscuit, two small pieces of cookies worth 100 naira and 10 naira flash sweet. When it comes to treating passengers well, Nigeria still has a long way to go...

The passenger is even lucky that Aero served free food. In America, the airlines charge no less than $5 to buy in-flight sandwiches. Only the pretzels and cup of water is free on domestic flights.

An hour flight u need food! Dis is crazy, do u know what too much of food before you get on board an aircraft can do to u? Do you know the altitude the aircraft flies? Do you know how gravity and other forces will react in your stomach at high altitude?

Like seriously. No food should be served. I dnt know the quality of the snacks that was served. But for safety reason, i think it's d best choice.

Even naija to UK 9hrs straight flight don't serve food, They serve snacks all through. Or maybe tell me what they serve??

Do u even know the cost of aviation fuel and maintenance that u r complaining of the price of the ticket.

Air transport is nt for the poor and hungry ones.

I hv uncountable reasons

I'm tired of typing.

You were making a very strong and reasonable point until you messed it up with a line that... "Air transport is not for the poor and hungry".

Well, i don't blame you. we're in a country were people have said worse things like:

Education is not for the poor

GSM phone is not for the poor...

Beleive me, and very soon you'll hear, food is not for the poor...

I agree with your other arguments sha... But don't let our irresponsible government corrupt your thinking.

Air travel is not luxury as we here see it. It's basically for speed and comfort...

The poor deserve that!

do you know that you don't have to be super rich in western countries before you can travel by air. But here in nigeria it's not the same, can someone on minimum wage in nigeria travel by air? even not all that earn above the minimum wage can, when they deduct their monthly expenses from their salary what is left is really pathetic. but an average person without a job can travel by air in some other countries without so much pain.

The poor deserve it but can not have it at the moment maybe when God improve the economic situation of our dear country.

GSM, Satalite TV, etc was enjoyed mainly by the rich folk in nigeria at inception, but later God made it available to even the poorest individual now.

Airlines in America don't offer much. Maybe a pretzel and a cup of soda.
