My advise to you is, don't give up on yourself and don't beat yourself too much. Attempting suicide shouldn't be on your mind in the first place, it's not who started first that wins the race. 22...you still have time. Learn the tailoring and don't stop reading your books if you're not given this year.

I am yet to be convince about the importance of Nigeria education.

I am advising u like a brother now, please discard the university pursuit and face the programing and tailoring u are into.

if u are keen about a university certificate, u can register for a part-time programme later when u are made. unilag offers such programmes (DLI). u need to see those rich dudes study at their comfort.

my brother, I and many others reading this post envy what u have now, try and improve them.

Nigeria university education only opens your eye, what is the importance of open eye when u are unemployable or jobless.

went for another screening(documents) after a month but no admission cos I don't have leg. I saw lower score getting the same course..

didn't want to take another jamb cos my baby Sist ll be writing 2..wanted to face my tailoring work and my programming cry, but I later took jamb after many considerations, revised my note a little cos my passion is almost dead, no interest in reading unlike before, went for the examination and got 237 for industrial chemistry while my baby Sist got 221 for Biochem..

I have one question for you. Must you go to UNIBEN? If your answer is no, then congratulations,I'll suggest some schools for you in which you will have 70% chance of Admission with that your UTME score, 20% is subjected to the screening of your documents/certificate and the remaining 10% to whatever you believe in.

And if you are not hell bent on studying ICH, there are other courses like Mechatronic Engineering which is a good course but people don't know about it so it doesn't get much applicants.

Since you can't afford to waste any more time, stay away from corrupt schools, information is key.

Don't be discourage Op. If you don't get it this time, just look for a great skill and learn it, or a certification. I just got to know that a friend of mine who is good at Programming and Networking (Cisco and Oracle Certified) is not a graduate. He ventured into it agree his secondary education when Jamb was disturbing just like you.

Must you die in UNIBEN? Do you know what is going in in the labour market today? Imagine going through all this stress and you end up getting a #50,000 job after attending five consecutive interviews ( and telling all the lies that even satan cannot tell ) in a firm that sees you as a little more than a piece of trash. If you have skills in Tailoring and Programming bros look for ways to build your practice to the professional level and I assure you that you will make money with your skillset! As for your UTME things just try another school and make sure you are studying a course relevant to your passion so you don't spend four years swimming in the fires of hell itself...Study a course related to Programming, if it is your passion, follow it through no matter how long it takes you to enter school and in the end it will profit you greatly!

Ultimately my counsel is, PLACE SKILLS ABOVE CERTIFICATION AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ABOVE IN THE LABOUR MARKET!

As much as the elimination of post utme has clipped a consequential part of our chances of securing admission by exhibiting our intellectual prowess and proving to institutions that we have what it takes to be considered for admission, we can still look out for other means to prove our worth to those at the helm of affairs in our desired institutions. Post utme has been scrapped, but has UTME been scrapped? NO! You can defy all odds just with your jamb result. It's unfortunate you have already written Your UTME, I would have made you see the need to study harder than you did, in all sincerity, you could have Scored higher than you did in Your UTME, maybe 280, 290, 300. Yes, I honestly believe you can score that high, It's sad you had to settle for a lesser score.
I do hope you secure your desired admission this Year. But if you don't, then you would be back with a clean slate, a Very clean slate to prove you are the best and most fit to be considered for admission by studying 'crazily' and excelling in your jamb like you've never had. Your wassce is nice. Good luck SwayG!
Re: Uniben... by eghuan1(m): 11:39am On Jul 24, 2017
To be frank with you, I like your attitude towards education. But as a graduate from the same Uniben, bro, I will advise you to direct that passion towards your tailoring profession.

If I had such opportunity when I was in Uniben, I would have left my education to pursue it. Now we claim we are graduates, yet no job. Man de hustle for street but police and government officials de open account for your head.

As at the time I got admission, my cousin (same age) went to learn electrical work (house wiring). Now am looking for job with virtually no result, yet my cousin will soon complete his house and has bought a car.

Oga concentrate on what you are good at and leave education for a later time when you will have your money to get the admission.

That's my sincere advise o

I want u to listen good.

a lot of skills, intelligence, talent has been killed by the yearning to get a certificate(LA cram LA pour).

a man once told me this when I was keen about going to the university, I regarded him as an enemy of progress. I am now in the university studying a professional course, but baba, all na wash.

my former room mate(a twin)was particular about being a doctor, he wrote jamb for years, went to three universities all in this pursuit. he is now doing the medicine. his other twin brother went to the street, i mean real hustle...he now has three houses to his credit.

oh yes your people will call u a failure, but guess what? Albert Einstein once asked his uncle how it would feel to ride on a beam of light, his uncle called him a fool for having that thought. you are a science student, I believe u know who Albert is (his theory of relativity was base on that 'foolish' light).

I am so worried about your state, because u have a gold(for crying out loud tailoring and programming!!!) that u can improve on.

the university paper can come later.

Sweetie just go to another school. Uniben isn't the only school in Nigeria and I'm sure you have a second choice. Why don't you opt out and save yourself from the stress?

If uniben is your dream school then I guess you should keep your hopes up and by God's grace you'd get there.

Even someone with 237 got admission to study engineering at uniben.
So don't worry my brother. Just proceed for screening and you'll be admitted and you're also among uniben's catchment sef.
