Well.. In terms of services, there are just "OK" it's going to be a long flight. Obviously with that price, there are going to be lay overs. Do you know how many hours you will be staying over and if the airline will provide you with a free hotel to stay.

This flight is going to take up to 30hours and some minutes and it's going to be a long layover.

Note: some layovers can be as long as 21hours and I'm guessing the layovers will be at Cairo or so.. Find all these out first so you wouldn't be the surprised one on the D-day.

You don't have a problem, layover is a common thing, you are just passing through. You were not in the country on the books.

I got my Visa approved early this July, to start the Graduate program in Aug.

I want to differ my study/admission to Spring 2018 because my Company is not granting my study leave application as I have not spent 6months with them as their policy, with this, I would have spent eight (cool months by December 2017 as I joined May 2017.

If I get back to school to send down another I-20 that will reflect the new date,

My Questions now, are;

Ø Will the current Visa be valid for this (I guess yes) or I will need to re-apply?

Ø Will I have issues with Officers at the Point of Entry (PoE) when I travel that January? (one concern)

Ø Will I have challenges when I need to re-new my Visa as it will be less than two years validity when I will be entering US (my major concern)


Kindly advise on the best option and the likely process and steps that will help me in achieving this plan, will be more happy if I can retain this job as I will come back straight after the programme.

Yes you can fly January as long as you have a legit work excuse to give immigration officers, your problem should be your school, you should write your school and start you deferring process. I think if you can afford it you fly December stay for 2 weeks before you finally fly for 2018 session. This is solely my contribution and doesn't hold water

In addition, your school will need to issue you a new I-20 that you would present to the CBP officer at the POE.

Egypt air has a very terrible in-flight customer service and also in Cairo. They take it to a whole new level for Nigerians. I have not flown with them before but my clients reviews are terrible, and I have lost a lot of clients due to this. But since you have got your ticket, hope for the best but still expect the worst. Save trip in advance

Qatar is ok, they got good customer care, I think flying them to the US pose no much problem now unlike some months back. The only issue is sometimes they can have very long layovers in Doha on your return. Do you mean travelling on the 16 to return by 22, or a one way within that date. Mention me to get a good fare
