Oil exploration and unnecessary endangerment to life even when within the next decade, most of the developed world would've moved on to alternate energy sources and banned oil.

Were there no security operatives during their futile search for oil that is not available?

When I first saw it on Aljazeera,my initial reaction was: "well,we 've made the news again...for another wrong reason." I tell you guys, those men in that picture are gonna have a hard time in the hands of those rag-tag jihadists. Why is that so? They are agents of the "Naijiriiyan" government prospecting for oil on "caliphate" soil without explicit permission from the government of the caliphate. Men,you 've got to feel for those guys. Expect the "late Shekau" to make a huge noise out of this and make them suffer.

They have been looking for this oil since 1950.E never reach to invest it in some more profitable?
This marriage with the North na wahala, Ironsi removed the clause that the tribes forming Nigeria can break away if they found out that the marriage didn't work out when he became Head of the state. I believe Zik must have advised him because, Zik wanted to be the president of bigger Nigeria. Even Africa.

They do. They have groundnut oil.

Ijaw, itsekiri, efik, ibibio have crude oil.

Yorubas have cocoa oil and cocoa butter

Igbos have palm oil and palm kernel oil

Why can't Arewa be content with their groundnut oil. Why are they scared of Nigeria breaking up??

Even if Nigeria splits today, Arewa and Ipobs can still sell their ground nut and palm oil to the Afonjas at the price of crude oil or even more.

Afonjas can not do without ofe oil and ofe nmanu otherwise malnutrition will wipe them out.

This is sad...so sad! These attacks just escalated after the swap deal involving chibok girls and boko haram commanders! Yes, these so called commanders shouldn't have been released without a lethal injection capable of wrecking their entire nervous system 48hrs after the swap deal. Now they are raging and waxing stronger; no longer are they in the bushes like Biu and sambisa, now they are even daring to enter the capital city.

Hopefully, we won't release more of these monsters to cause more harm than just chibok girls.
You said what I told them on the last thread concerning the Boko commanders released.. Here spoke exactly my mind.. Carry on my brother... ➕for you..

Didn't I say it? GEJ made that terrible mistake during his tenure when he swap the BHT commanders and they reinforced and came back stronger

What is happening in that state? is it that somebody is hiding something? They said we have won the war, how come stuff is still happening there.

I think this a deliberate attempt to discredit His excellency, President Mohamed Buhari's government.

So federal government is still wasting billions and billions of naira on this futile oil exploration in the north? This is an effort in futility and a wild goose chase. Government should channel this resources on something more productive and employment and better the living standards of the people. Now government will still pay huge ransom to bokoharam to free these people, bokoharam will in turn use it to purchase more weapons and the cycle continues. This country is failing
I thought it was widely circulated and advertised that crude oil has been found in commercial quantity in this same Borno state in December, 2016?
