I think you are wrong on a few premises and I hope that I can point these out in an articulate manner.

Yes, the terrible killings of 1966 put the Eastern peoples in such a tough situation that warranted talk of seccession. It is also true that the Ojukwu government, the Biafran elite as well as any reasonable 3rd party observer could clearly see that the Biafran military was no match to Nigeria in 1967.

Now the premise that we would rather fight than "become a slave of the Hausa/Fulani oligarchy like all others..." is somewhat flawed. A million lives were lost, property and wealth forfeited, several families scattered and scared for a long time and Easterners were no better in 1990 than they were in 1967. Fighting for the sake of fighting alone is madness.

Again, "become a slave of the Hausa/Fulani oligarchy like all others..." as you put it, makes me cringe! I am Edo, grew up and fully integrated in Yorubaland, I don't feel like a slave to anyone. Many Nigerians are thriving all over the country thus I can't understand this slavery you allude to. Only the politicians who want to be president or are seeking federal appointments cry fowl about this and we shouldn't make it a common call of the mass when it is not true.

To continue, Fidel's revolution was a popular revolt of the mass of Cubans against a corrupt Batista government. To equate this to the seccession of a minority group from an established nation by an act of war is dangerously flawed and can lead to the death of another millions.

Lies! It is on record that the British empire supplied the zoo people with so much ammunitions that, they expunged more bullets than the British army did in the WHOLE of WW2. In fact, nigeria in the beginning was loosing every battle, until the worst evil empire stepped in, Ahidjo of Cameroun decided to help his Islamic (children of Satan) brothers and blockade Biafra, the Soviets also provided a lot of help to the zoo called nigeria, because Gorbachev was a TIGHT friend of The then Prime minister, I think Harold Smith, even during the cold war. The Egyptians contributed a lot in terms of pilots and they took special demonic pleasure in bombing civilians, which led to the invention of the mighty weapon Ogbunaigwe or mass killer by the Biafrans, that ended the Egyptian tour of Biafra. Biafra had everything to win that war, but the whole world were against us. We where blackmailed. Go and read up your history books okay?

Ovoko ka gi mma! Onye Nkwughweri, Zuzupu Osiso. Go and read up what led to the war, and why and how Biafra lost. Ojukwu did not stand up one morning and decide to go to war. It was Gowon and the brits that started the war! We had to defend ourselves. If this man did not play his part in defending our parents, do you think that low lives and abominations like you will be alive to type this abominable nonsense you just typed. No wonder we cannot progress, because of sell outs like you. Thank God that Nnamdi Kanu Ohamadike One has opend my eyes.
what are you and Kanu waiting for ? Go and start the war immediately, idiot you are just busy shouting like a tout that you are jobless and miserable use your time to shoot the first bullet to lunch the war let's know you are your fathers son , toothless rabbit. Touts shouting Biafra on the streets your mates are making progress in life. Kanu's flight is waiting for him as soon as the violence begins you will be roasted alive I assure you that . I somewhat disagree with you in the weapons area. It is not while drowning that you suddenly decide to go for swimming lessons, you just swim and hope for the best.

It is true that Biafra and Ojukwu did not have enough arms and ammunition in comparison to Nigeria, however, that was not enough reason to become a slave of the Hausa/Fulani oligarchy like all others did. It was a swim or sink situation and Biafrans were not prepared to sink without a fight, even if it meant fighting with catapult.

Fidel Castro started his own revolution with just 80 men and a few guns, he later overthrew the system
You've got some nerve comparing a great man like Fidel Castro to some Eastern scum..

You are ignorant. The Nigeria you see today is under the control of the Nothern oligarchy. One reminder of this is that Southern Nigeria is today begging the North for restructuring and the North has slammed the door on that. Nigeria has been skewed and rigged in favour of the North, you can google Mrs Ankkio Briggs recent press release to find out how.

There is no such thing as integration in Nigeria, some people just tolerate each other thats all. I will always be an 'nyamiri infidel' to a Hausa man same as I will be an 'omo ajaokuta' to a Yoruba man. If ever take too much, they will remind me that I am a visitor that has overstayed his welcome. So where is the 'one Nigeria' we are talking about?

As for a million lives being lost, that is the price of freedom. 50 million lives were lost in the 2nd world war to bring about the peace and properity people enjoy in Europe today.
"You are ignorant" is a big statement to make from a guy who goes no further to show evidence backing such claims.

Is Nigerian under a Northern oligarchy? Is this factual and self evident or assumed and debatable? Do we know the names of at least 5 of these so-called oligarchs? Can we compare these 5 in terms of wealth and influence to a random selection of 5 wealthy and powerful southerners? Do we have concrete and objective figures to work with or mare conjectures?

Is "southern Nigeria" begging the "north" for restructuring...and has the "north" slammed the door? Don't we have southerners who insist that Nigeria does not need restructuring? Or are there no northerners who support the call for restructure? Who is this "north" that is being begged? Can we have the names of at least 3 of these "north" who has refused to be begged? Mrs. Briggs is a highly respectable figure with her opinions which are what they are, opinions.

Yes, Nigeria isn't integrated as we expected. I believe I never said Nigeria was integrated. I also believe that you never saw that phrase "one Nigeria" in any of my previous comments so needless to remark this in your response to me.

As for your last paragraph, I sincerely hope that you are aware that much of the roughly 60million people who died in WW2 were victims of the Nazis and the Japanese army's war to dominate the world. Much freedom and prosperity has been achieved since then by peace and common sensical cooperation of nations rather than by a murderous charge to battle.

I have written much bro, the summary remains that brain is always above brawn. A man ready for war only sees enemies while a friendly disposition brings cooperation. What you are willing to die for or achieve by a hundred years' war can easily be gotten quickly in peace by multilatteral consideration.

Your very write up above affirms my point that in 1967 any observer could tell that Biafran military was no match to Nigeria's.

Military might isn't just about "I have 8 tanks to your 3"! No, that will be a most tragic trivialization and could lead to the death of millions.

To be candid, in 1967, Nigeria had a larger armed forces, population and economy compared to Biafra's. Nigeria also reserved legitimacy in the eyes of most of the world and thus had access to further military acquisitions. Nigeria had existing defence pacts with friendly nations which they could call upon while Biafra had none. The coming war was going to be fought on Biafran land with attendeant negative impact on industry and fighting capacity while Nigeria continues to have better morale and production levels. Nigeria retained the existing navy while Biafra had none. Nigeria retained the existing airforce while Biafra could only import a few outdated sorties. This is how to rate military might and sensible folks in and outside Biafra in 1967 knew that the fight was going to be a mismatch!

"what the enemy had at the start of the war and got more and more of, in the course of the war, was what Biafra lacked and now needed very badly" - General Alexander Madiebo (in his diary, November 1969)

Its you Nigerians that talk about war, we are talking about referendum to allow those ethnic groups who roped by Lugard into a fraudulent colonial project called Nigeria, the right to continue or opt out.

No Problem I am jobless, (Though I am a graphics designer, and currently has a project of making a web game using JavaScript), you people say restructuring is the best, but how far? What did the senate do today? So who is wrong and who is right? I went for Biafra not because I am jobless as you people always wrongly insinuate, not because Nnamdi Kanu is my father or that I am getting some sexual favours from one of his female siblings, but because I have analysed the whole situation and found that Biafra IS our ONLY hope. The house of Assembly is filled with Hausa and now the Yoruba has played to the gallery as usual, Don't you see we are in bondage in this mighty prison(thanks to Tuface). I thought that foe you to get a good deal you must have the highest position possible so that you can at least get the second best if you fail to get the best deal. Look at Man United, when Frgie was coach, Man united put their eyes on the highest possible target which in England is the Premier league, but did they always win the Premier league? Definitely not! But they always, always qualify for the Champions League (always either second or third never fourth), but after Ferguson left, Man united lowered their expectations and qualified only once and got in through the lowest possible means, fourth. So for now my dear Biafra is the only hope we have, both SE and SS.
I am sorry for my previous posts.

If I understand this video very well, it was documented to attract sympathy isn't it?

But the truth is the people that were killed died as a result of the mistake of one man, Ojukwu who later contested for Nigerias President.

Nnamdi Kanu is toeing that way again and nobody is cautioning him in the East. Should another war breaks now, same people would start crying foul.

Nigeria is not the only multi ethnic country in Africa, Ghana is equally a collection of various tribes.

If you go to Agadez in Niger, they're all Arab looking and because of their minority population, they have never ruled the country.

It is high time for you guys to sit and talk to yourselves, learn politics and be part of the leaders of this country, then you can correct any observed anomaly in the system.

1. A normal or abnormal Zoo must have different species of animals: IPOB, IGBO, Agbari Ojukwu, Afonja, OPC, Oduduwa, Arewa, MaluArewa, BOKO etc. The zoo will not be complete without the contribution from all of us. Nigeria needs you smiley

2. At Asaba, I was like 2 years old when the rag tag and selfish biafran body scouts deserted my street at iliose junction, leaving Muritala and his raping gang to attack us. The Biafrans are only seeking their selfish ends, not Asaba and if any of them comes back, don't you think that the people will be very angry. angry angry
