@Basic123 Supported and seconded in totality. We must toe the path of our West African friends, the Senegalese and scrap the Upper House. Those guys are a clog(a spanner even) in the wheel of progress. What is so hard about restructuring? What are they so afraid of? By trying to keep it all, they might just lose it all. The call is getting way too loud to be ignored as mere ramblings of discontent. |

I think its important you also know that the bill cant scale through, because it didnt sail through in the senate, The honourable speaker did mention that in the course of the house proceedings, that the only reason they are putting up those bills already rejected at the senate is to make Nigerians know the stand of the house of reps on the issues and not because the bill can scale through... |

Restructuring is not going to change a single thing... It's like putting spoilt milk into new glass.. will still taste horrible. It's the same set of leaders and the same set of "get rich quickly at all cost" public. The heart of our issue is we need to manufacture things, grow our own food, and support our own goods. When there are lots of jobs and you don't have to steal money from oil revenue, or hustle for contract, most of our issues will be solved. The one major thing that breeds unrest is lack of work. Idle minds and lack of income make for dangerous times. Structurally, Nigeria is very good, and actually needs a few more states to satisfy the needs of several minorities, including Delta and Benue. The 36 states have been good to reduce the overwhelming force of the 3 major peoples and have brought development to many more capital cities. I think breaking up Nigeria will weaken each resulting part and disenfranchise most minorities. |

Politics is a very interesting game. Its now that they hear that the whole country is seeking restructuring and secession that they are waking up to their responsibility just to make us stay together for them to still be relevant. Anyway, thank you Kanu Nnamdi for the wake up call. I hope this drives them to do what is right to set this country on the right path to prosperity. Besides i am not a fan of Biafra ![]() |

NtoAkwaIbom:But Nigeria is given you the best in life?.can you compare the massive IGR being generated by Lagos as a result of their monopoly on importations and corporate headquarters of every company Nigeria, let fg unbundle Lagos monopoly through legislations and see other states developed. You have given up on your people already, very pathetic.People agitated for the akwaibom state from the old cross river state,is akwaibom state now not better alone now in terms of development ,than when they were with cross river?.May God remove cowards like you from my tribe. |

A country where there is no good justice system anything that happens there is fair and good! ! If the justice system is not restructured to dispense justice they are only wasting their time. I mean a total waste of time. No country can triumph if laws are not strictly enforced. ![]() |

@Basic123 If that is the case then he should pray he has a quiet country to run for president in come 2019. I tell you this for free: Inordinate ambitions have wrecked many nations. History is full of such examples. That was why Liberia burned, that is why South Sudan is still burning. Ambitions. Inordinate ambitions. |

ozoneboy:South Sudan felt it was ready... Today it is a failed state, back tgen Ireland felt it was ready, but after all the noise died down, and then people with sense came to the fore, what happened ? Lagos state has IGR, we have 13% derivative... I am not saying we need to be Lagos overnight, but up ti date, The International airport that was promised us is still a farce... I went to Ibaka and happened to branch by the site for the seaport.. Ikpa i was shockdd.. Becos with the way Godswill and Udom were goin on it i felt that ships will berth there by yrs end... But that place was overgrown with weeds and was an eyesore.. I know that we will be better off... As Akwa/Cross country... But unless u r a sentimental furk, u will agree with me tgat the Militants are not to be trusted with power.. Yesterday they attacked Uruan, go to Iron, they have been harrassing traders goin to cameroon. Ikpa... I think for the future, i dont think for the moment ... South Sudan is not far from u. Google is a click away. |

The lower house approval of the devolution of power to the states was a mere formality for records purposes. It changes nothing since the Senate had voted against it. It leaves Nigerians with only one view: NNAMDI KANU'S! THE BALKANIZATION OF THIS COUNTRY IS A MUST! |

NtoAkwaIbom:After all your rantings, you just had to find a way to smuggle the igbos into your discourse. Hear me clearly, I'd rather we stay in Nigeria than have a confused lots as the Niger delta in any igbo nation. God forbid! I'll never support any biafra that is not entirely igbo. I'm tired of this constant cry of marginalisation. We have every we need to stand alone. The energy you waste in talking about the igbos should be channeled to your phantom Niger delta Republic. We have no need for you guys. See mouse wey dey hide make vulture no carry am as if to say the vulture don even gree say e go carry the mouse. |

NtoAkwaIbom:You are quick to quote South Sudan as a failed state but you forgot that Singapore was expelled from Malaysia yet they are better off today. Soviet Union was broken into several countries. please mention the failed countries from the former Soviet Union. that South Sudan failed should not be used as a yard stick to say that we remain as one because of fear of failure. India and Pakistan is another country that went thier ways, how about Yugoslavia that splitter into six countries. are they all like South Sudan? I thought you a better reason to back up your stand against scessesionists. |
