Lagos was developed by other regions in 60's. You been ranting all night about this then you switch your argument later. Every state was developed by oil after stupid allocation came to play. Now stop ur rants.

First of all, I don't understand your grammar. I can only vaguely make out what you are saying. Please rewrite what you wrote up there. I have had to read multiple times to understand what you are trying to pass across.

Secondly, what i said was that Lagos was Not necessarily developed with palm oil and groundnut because back then we didn't have the revenue sharing model we have today back then.

Thirdly when it came to revenue sharing the fed govt also gave other regions money so your assertion that the fed govt has been developing Lagos "to the detriment of other regions" is just false. All the money that was given to the other states what did they do with it? Pray do tell Me?

We are talking about removing land from the govt's and given it back to the peiple and you are talking about something else.

Ambode is in essence saying the Fed govt has no right to own all land and he is right. Fed govt seizing land back in the 70s is one of the worst policies ever passed in this country. I mean it is right up there with the govts decision to seize schools from the missionaries.
It's one of the major reasons Nigeria is still poor. For Nigeria to flourish, property rights of individual citizens must be first and foremost of all economic and political agenda in this country. In plain language, what I am saying is that if I own propety like land, everything on (and under the land) is mine including the mineral resources there. So the Fed govt has no right to seize my land and sell it to Exxon Mobil because oil is there. No it's mind and mine only shikena? How difficult is that for you to understand?

Actually, I don't know of oil in commercial quantities in the south east just the south South. Also in case you didnt know, oil exploration is no longer done on land but far into the sea where majority of Nigeria's oil is so I guess that can qualify as FG property.
But like I said earlier, if I found gold on my property then it is mine and mine alone not the south South or the south east.

He is wrong! Land should go to the people or their local communities not the state (except for small strategic areas designated as federal lands for national security). I was in Lagos not too long ago and I found out that the state raises revenue via taxes and then turns around gives it to the local governments. So dumb. LGA's should be able raise their own revenue and provide services for their own constituents. This way you encourage civic participation by the people and reduce the possibility of money passing through many hands further reducing the possibility of corruption.
