TheLordIsGr8:Dude no need arguing with them, you're the one here who really view things my way. . just because the read some junks on Html page, they believe "yeah" that's all to it. try to reason with them they'll start pushing links for to go read.... (just laughing out loud about some facebook bot inventing language of it own.... obviously It could be virus) why was it shutdown? because fb discovered it and correct it.... then feed them with lies |

With our electricity situation no machine can take over as these machines needs power and a country where cutlass and hoe are still used in farms and China manufacturing millions of hand tools that don't need electricity because of Nigeria's power problem be rest assured Nigeria will be one of the last countries that machines will take over any job |

TheLordIsGr8:lol, You made me laugh Ok Summary: Most Nigerian degree holders are not innovative (like say Chinese) they rather occupy a big office with several servants to attend to their needs instead of rocking overall and sitting in the lab researching. Many Nigerian scientists think god created things so they will not bother to research them. Some Nigerian doctors have been heard telling people that juju and spiritual problems is responsible for a clear diagnosis (like piles). Nigerians speak to impress people with big grammar instead of making a clear point based on simple conversation. A Nigerian professor nearly lost his job when he told a group of students that god created the universe so they should not bother reading science textbooks about it! Many Nigerian educated professionals live above their means so they are only out to get quick money, they lack the will power to keep the job for 30 years until they retire and get their pensions in Nigeria and abroad! The priorities of most Nigerian degree holders are not in line with best practice in the rest of the world. The list is endless, and during interview many Nigerians exhibit this mentality that makes expatriates secure jobs before them. |

YOUNGSTUNNA:The only thing to fear from AI is hacking and errors in programming. If an if block tests for > instead of >= a nuclear plant could explode. Its not because some machine started feeling bad and decided to "do some damage" Lol. Perhaps they have to define intelligence another way. If it is the kind of intelligence humans possess, well, I rest my case. There's no point arguing. I get headache sef. |

YOUNGSTUNNA:If FB truly wanted to develop AI here was their opportunity but they chose to shut it down. Perhaps those FB people are not so intelligent themselves. They could have just let the robots "develop" their language na. Or is that not a part of intelligence? |

win2kwire:All of these vices you can find everywhere in the world. You're yet to prove that it is a failure of intelligence on the part of Nigerians that leads to the preference for expatriates. Give me the damn job. If I don't perform fire me and make an example. Watch how everyone buckles up. |
| Re: Artificial Intelligence: Why Nigerians Shouldn’t Fear Over Loss Jobs To Automat by win2kwire: 3:01pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
TheLordIsGr8:You can find everywhere in the world but not at Nigerian levels, if Nigerians are that intelligent many companies will pay naira instead of employing expensive dollar expatriates. From what I was told, incompetent Nigerians with low naira salaries actualy then steal more money than the dollar expatriates who work more efficiently than Nigerians. I don't have to prove anything to you, the records and indices are there for any "smart" person to see. Nigeria loses billions daily due to lack of skills and intelligence among Nigerian graduates! Many Nigerian owned enterprises left to the care of Nigerian-only workers became worthless soon after (Nigerian airways, Ajaokuta steel, Refineries, stadiums, road maintenance projects, water, electricity). The problem is not the firing but the damage you will do before they fire you and how much of your own country assets you will steal! |
| Re: Artificial Intelligence: Why Nigerians Shouldn’t Fear Over Loss Jobs To Automat by Nobody: 3:32pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
win2kwire:I agree that I may not be "smart" in your book but nothing you have mentioned is a failure of intelligence. You're not even trying to shift the goal post, you're outrightly leaving the field. Nigerian airways, Ajaokuta steel, Refineries, stadiums, road maintenance projects, water, electricity. All of these failed for lack of leadership and accountability. Expatriates couldn't have done anything about it if corruption was allowed to run amok. All of the banks in America that were bailed out with public money were they staffed with Nigerians? If Govt. decided to "bail out" Nigerian Airways it won't be on your list. |
| Re: Artificial Intelligence: Why Nigerians Shouldn’t Fear Over Loss Jobs To Automat by win2kwire: 4:03pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
TheLordIsGr8:You were doing ok slowly until you mentioned leadership, that is when I lost any remaining respect for you - you are a typical Nigerian and you are a major part of the problem! Your failure to understand the disease you people have means you will not understand the correct remedy. You keep screaming leadership and when it changes the disease is still there - you keep screaming god dey, but god does not show up to fix anything - you keep blaming others and when they disappear you find someone else to point at (imperialist, expatriate, chinese, lebanese, white man, mallams! THE PROBLEM OF NIGERIA IS NOT LEADERSHIP, IT IS LACK OF COMMONSENSE AMONG CITIZENS!!!!!!! If you have any iota of brain you will understand......................... that citizens elect or allow leaders into office and let them stay there - many commonsense countries will not allow it! Nigerian leaders steal less than the citizens do, the majority of fraud, bribery, scams, thefts of infrastructure, state assets looting and destruction, contraband goods, fake goods, 419..............is done by Nigerian citizens! Discussing with brain dead people is like talking to stone, no matter what is said to you only what other Nigerians think will emerge from your coconut shell skull! The sort of questions that get asked at interview and straight away they know you are less human and employ an indian teenager! what a waste of time! |

TheLordIsGr8:God bless you jor, that's exactly what I was telling them... they were laughing at me... claiming AI will be more intelligent than humans, they have feelings, they'll not even need any sort of programming, they'll have the ability to update themselves... I just laughed... the funniest part is "they'll even be the ones to create themselves. I found it very annoying when they said AI will be more intelligent than humans... it's seems these people don't even know what humans are capable of. Computers are nothing but bunch of codes... telling me that any machine will be more intelligent than humans... is like saying humans are more intelligent than their creator. in the real fact is COMPUTER is dumb, it only follow commands (if this is this do this, else do this or try this or do nothing) a robot who is designed to go left will only go left, it can't never go right if it's not updated to do so. |
| Re: Artificial Intelligence: Why Nigerians Shouldn’t Fear Over Loss Jobs To Automat by Nobody: 4:42pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
TheLordIsGr8:lol, na true... even humans can't create their own language, na machine wan come create lol |
| Re: Artificial Intelligence: Why Nigerians Shouldn’t Fear Over Loss Jobs To Automat by Nobody: 5:28pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
YOUNGSTUNNA:This right there is the problem. They will never agree that man was created by a higher intelligence. Man just came to be. By accident or chance whichever you prefer. If the machines could rise above its maker, they'll say "See! I told you intelligence doesn't need an architect." Like I said earlier, I'm having headache jor. No need for too much talk. |

TheLordIsGr8:sorry bro, get some drugs please. Science sometimes I laughed at them when they're talking CHANCE thingy. plane will not be in existence if no one invented it, how much more something as complex as life. I was watching a scientific documentary about how life come about... Everything there was so unreasonable.... imagine saying some meteorite hits the earth billions of years ago...and bla bla bla life evolved from the sea and bla bla bla evolution... it's dumb.... take care of yourself bro.. |

win2kwire:I pondered real hard on whether to respond to this comment. I decided to respond just in case somebody else is reading. You have devolved into insult. How could you lose respect for me because I expressed my opinion. Or did you lose respect for me because you have seen I have no common sense? I have no brain. I am brain dead. I'm like a stone. Come on man. You have no monopoly on insult but try to make your point. I'm only waiting for you to tell me how the hiring of expatriates is attributable to a lack of intelligence on the part of Nigerians. Instead you keep shifting posts and now you've devolved into insults. Have a nice day. |

Having interacted with whites since the age of two and now being in my forties I can comfortably say he is an example of what he hates so much. Nobody of sound intellect degenerates into insults so quickly because a person is expressing an opinion or an argument that they consider intellectually inferior. Especially when said person is being polite. I thought he was an example of the sound mind he so much admires until that last post. But he gave himself away. TheLordIsGr8: |

CocoaOla:Corruption may reduce (which is very doubtful) but control will increase. Govt anywhere never push anything that would not be in their favour. So if the govt is all for it from the get-go, then there is a problem. Now think about that a cashless society. All your money will be electronic. All the labour of your hands. With this system we have now, if a bank annoys you you can just go and withdraw all your money (still with limitations). But in a cashless society, if the bank says you have to pay them interest for keeping your money (savings account), what will you withdraw? Whatever they say you have to comply. If you don't they can just press a button. Asset Freeze. You're a goner. AI won't do you as much good as you hope for. Its a sad reality. |
