Late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti may have died 20 years ago, but his spirit breathes on the streets. His fans, both young and old, have fond memories of the musician, activist and the man they refer to as 'prophet'. He is widely regarded as the king of Afro beats and his works has inspired a lot of local and foreign artistes which include Wizkid, Dbanj, Jayz, beyonce, Alicia keys to mention a few.

Fela Anikulapo Kuti (15 October 1938 – 2 August 1997), also professionally known as Fela Kuti and simply Fela, was a Nigerian multi- instrumentalist, musician, composer, pioneer of the Afrobeat music genre, human rights activist, and political maverick.

He has been called "superstar, singer, musician, Panafricanist, polygamist, mystic, legend." During the height of his popularity, he was often hailed as one of Africa's most "challenging and charismatic music performers.
