let me give u a operationally more feasible, low cost and easy to implement option

here i have taken the example of DRDO battlefield surveillance radar (there r many similar systems available worldwide)

PJT-531 Battle Field Surveillance Radar – Short Range (BFSR-SR) is a man portable, battery powered surveillance and acquisition radar, capable of detecting and displaying a diversity of moving targets such as pedestrians, vehicles, tanks, etc. A third generation thermal imager has also been configured for use on the BFSR and has been integrated with it

The BFSR processing and display units, and control functions are integrated on a single, touch-sensitive, portable IBM PC, called the Control and Display Unit (CDU). Some processing elements are also built into the radar. The processed information is displayed on a high resolution 10.4" LCD colour display.

The PC operates on a Windows NT-based, menu-driven user interface, which makes operating the BFSR extremely simple.

The BFSR has a COTS- based built in networking and sensor fusion to increase the effectiveness of surveillance. Up to 10 radars may be networked at one time to provide greater area of coverage. All radars in a network can also be remotely controlled from a central hub.

Provision to Network various radars for wider area coverage has also been built into the BFSR.

Track while scan of 99 targets.

The radar can be operated in various modes

1.Surveillance/Scanning ( "Search" )
2.acquisition
3.tracking/classification mode

The radar can also be operated manually, or put into an automated "Standby" mode.

BFSR also has integrated calibration and maintenance modes, which aids in easy maintenance and testing on the field.

The built-in test equipment (BITE) on the BFSR aids in increasing reliability and allowing for easy calibration and fault detection of the radar on the field.

The various modes are remotely configurable from the CDU by the operator, which allows for different modes of operations without any physical changes on the BFSR, and without needing the operator to expose himself to any danger. The operation can also be remotely controlled for networked radars.

In scanning mode, the radar can scan around a specified sector looking for any moving objects.

It is also capable of "Track-while-Scan" (TWS) operation, and can track 50 targets in TWS acquisition mode. The speed of scan can also be adjusted by adjusting the speed of the antenna's rotation to either a low, medium or high rotational speed.

If a target is found, the operator can choose to track that target in the dedicated tracking mode.

The Doppler return from the target is then processed, and fed into the operator's headphones to aid in classification. A classification algorithm in the radar also automatically classifies the into crawling target, single moving target, group of men, light vehicle, heavy vehicle and helicopter.

For mobility, better range, and for overcoming obstructions and ground reflection, the radar can also be vehicle or mast-mounted. The radar array is mounted on a 6 meter long telescopic mast on a jeep or truck platform.

BFSR is designed keeping in mind the requirements of border surveillance and intruder detection. Thus, it is an ideal tool for

1.perimeter surveillance and protection of sensitive sites, industrial facilities, power plants and similar sites

2.border surveillance and protection

3.battlefield surveillance

4.intelligence gathering by scouts, forward observers and Special Forces units

5.low-cost solution for detection of low flying helicopters and boats by smaller infantry units, enabling in better protection in the absence of larger air-defence radars

Crawling Man - 700 m
Walking man - 3 km
Group of people - 7 km
Light vehicles - 10 km
Heavy vehicles - 14 km

(the above range data is outdated)

around 3 countries in Africa operates it. near to 2000 of such systems have been produced till date.

pic 1 BFSR-SR

pic 2 Control and Display Unit (CDU)

pic 3 latest AESA-based BFSR-SR capable of foliage penetration

pic 4 a system highlighting the use of mobile BFSR

u can buy any such BFSR from the international market and mount it on a suitable platform like the local ATV . the SOP for their use has to be locally thought out. the SOPs will vary when used for different purpose like intelligence gathering, perimeter defense, battlefield surveillance etc etc.
This would ideally be mounted on smth like a Muntra, albeit much smaller with a pair of LMGs in case on jams; for quick real time reaction it would be at the coy level.
What do you think?

I recall,nemesis2u you mentioned the truth about the Vatican recently. Everyone else, here's a true tale of espionage or rather forensic analysis of the (mis)deeds of Italian born Sonia Gandhi strongly suggesting she's a deep cover Vatican agent. Her dad was protected by the Vatican, and colleagues in Cambridge, where she met Rajiv, said her relationship with the Vatican was like an umbilical cord.
In 1980,heir apparent,Sanjay died when his private plane crashed;the results of the investigation still haven't been released. At the height of the Sikh terror campaign, the Opus Dei was funding the most violent factions. When assassinated by her own Sikh bodyguards, one of her kitchen cabinet who resisted upping her security was reinstated by (drumroll!) Sonia!
The LTTE was heavily supported by Norway (why?) and the Vatican. In fact,Prabhakharan, their ruthless leader was a secret Catholic! Anyway, after all these events, who was the last person standing? Who benefited and would've been the leader of the next Superpower, but for Modi's win in 2014?

yes it is mounted on muntra-s

muntra-s is unmanned and tele-operated so it could come with a RCWS .presently it does not have any weapons.

as for BFSR-SR at what level it is issued i am not aware.

though i know these r issued standalone , in mast mounted mobile vehicles both trucks and LSV.

yes these r true

Vatican wants to increase evangelist efforts in India. the Scandinavian countries involvement was to support the Vatican efforts.

Scandinavian countries sends their funds and people like doctors , teachers etc they always send it/them to evangelist christian groups and affiliated NGOs.

Vatican has a long time project know as project "Joshua" whose aim is to turn India into a christian country.

but they underestimate the stupidity of Indians and the infallibility of a idea/ideas grin

a sloka (hymn) from Upanishads

"Om poornamadah poornamidam poornaat poornamudachyate

Poornasya poornamaadaaya poornamevaavashishsyate

Om shaantih shaantih shaantih"

english translation

Om, That is complete, This is complete, From the completeness comes the completeness.

If completeness is taken away from completeness, Only completeness remains.

Om, Peace peace peace

another English translation version

Om, That is Full, This also is Full, From Fullness comes that Fullness,

Taking Fullness from Fullness, Fullness Indeed Remains

Om Peace, Peace, Peace.

now the first 2 lines looks gibberish doesnt it ? grin

but tell me how u would interpret it / what does it tell u wink
(u can use either of the two english translations as they mean the same and ignore the 'Om' and 'Om Peace, Peace, Peace' portion )

peaceeee bro grin grin grin grin

DRDO Pinaka MK2 MBRL with guided rockets

pinaka range is around 75km and each individual guided rocket is guided separately, with an on-board computer calculating its flight path, and a transmitter and receiver on the launcher sending signals to keep it on path. Every 20 microseconds, a navigation device calculates the rocket’s position and sends a path correction message through the radio link.

DRDO is a research organization

lot of reasons.

1. jackass stupid governments (present govt is trying hard)

2. no clear cut export policy and guideline (now there is )

3. stupid bureaucratic red tape (present govt trying to eliminate it )

4. stupid workers unions (commies) laziness, not willing to include best industrial practices to increase output (will be privatized if they dont change habits grin )

5. no marking effort , as they have a large captive market (indian military) , lazy aholes (modi has threatened to sell them if they dont improve grin )

etc
etc

present government has now made defense exports very easy , for both govt. and private companies. they no longer need clearance and NOC from government except for few restricted items which require prior permission.
