Wasn't aware of this information....I thought they said someone can have dual intent i.e process both applications at a time. Heard of someone that got both TRV and PR.I have a study permit in process and am hoping to get ITA soon as I just entered the pool, will this affect my application in anyway. Please what do you people advise I do.

According to the Us immigration rules, traditional marriages in Nigeria are considered as the real thingy. However, which documents do u have? Again, read up if Canada follows the US path..

I requested for refund from school too. I would suggest you get the refund into your DOM account in Nigeria. Print same and use it for your POF. Include LOE with emails exchanged with the school explaining source of the fund. All the best

My occupation is in the SINP Occupation-in-demand (Medical Laboratory Technologist) but to get licensure to apply for the SINP and practise in Canada can take 1 year or longer. Unfortunately, I'm not even in Nigeria to scout for the documents needed for licensure coupled with LAUTECH almighty strike.

If I write another IELTS and I get minimum of LRWS 8777 and my CRS score get to the require point to get ITA (hopefully), do I still need to get licensure to apply for the ITA or I will apply for the ITA while I consider getting the license or not? i.e is licensure require to apply for ITA even if I have enough point to get ITA?

Honestly, am not thinking of practising Medical Laboratory Technologist in Canada, prefer to go into medical research or academics which does not require licensure.

What's your advice please?

Redo and go via FSW and no licensure ..until when u are in Canada and want to practice a profession that needs a license. If a provinces request it, up ur game with d FSW pathway.

I don't think applying as a married person will fly as she has to present a marriage certificate which I don't think is given at a traditional marriage. She had better apply as a single person with child.

At the time you got the "additional docs not needed" in NA2 stage, it meant that your file has either be concluded at the CIO dept or has been transferred to a new dept (Local VO).

Once the file is treated/opened by the local VO, it becomes IP2 and then PPR!

Yeah, it depends on whether the man is ready to come back or not and again they should calculate her scores with/without the man, if its high with him he might have to come back and do the registry thing, if not she should apply as a single person and she can bring him to Canada after she gets PR. By then she can go and meet him wherever he is, get married and bring him on spousal application.

Wait until you land as a student to then apply for PR. You can get most of the required documentation in place now ahead of your PR application. Unfortunately for a friend, he applied for PR visa while processing student visa, both were denied. He requested for his GCMS and observed that a review officer remarked they were not convinced of his intentions; they didn't understand why he was applying for student visa and then pursuing PR, he appeared as a desperate applicant so they shut him down. For your situation, land as a student first, then apply for PR if you meet the requirements. That's what most other students with work experience do, cheers.

Wow this really fast. Am almost 2months in and I am still stuck in IP1. My AOR was June 10. My application is in CIO, Sydney and I heard those guys over there are real slow.

What V.O was your application processed at? Also, is there anyone here whose AOR is around June and their application is being processed at CIO? Just wondering why mine is so slow

On investigating the licensure issue for sinp, I visited apeg website ( engineering license board) . Among tgeir requirement list, they stated they accept accept transcript evaluation done by Wes only, though not eca, but can be requested from wes .

I feel I should share it with engineers in the house cos even if they evaluate with iqas, they will need to do wes in future to get their practicing license.

Hubby's transcript got to wes in 4 days as the school promised. We got tracking no from school and tracked it till it was received by wes. We gave them 2 days to update on their portal but they didn't, so we faxed them today with the tracking no. They updated the doc on their site this evening, so the countdown to 20 days waiting period begins.

You have to get in contact with school. There was this woman in registrar that helped me follow up then, but I've lost her contact. Someone also proffered solution to this on this thread few months ago, so I advise you use the search button.

I am about to apply for the EE. We are a family of four 2kids and 2adults. My son was born in Canada. Does he need to still do medicals since he is already a citizen and do I need to still pay the application fee for him. I am guessing I do not have to but someone was arguing that I do hence my confusion.

Iqas does not send message to school to verify anything. Once they receive ur complete docs, they send u a mail that you are on queue for verification, after verification, they send another mail with ur eca report

Thanks. I felt it would too but after the last draw with the number of fresh applicants that entered the pool in a week, I panicked.
