Northern oligarchs robbing the Niger Delta dry while rubbing it on everyone's face... If it was the igbo that was dominating politics since 1970, looting and creating fake billionaires all over the place as we have seen with the emergence of the Indimis, Dan meribes, Adenugas, Otedolas and Alikijas, another civil war must have been started to curb the excesses of these overly dominating obstinate igbos... But here w are in the year of our dear lord 2017, watching oil wells of the delta dry as some Sahara irritants suck mercilessly..
go and check the list of oil owners again. There are MANY deltans and biafrans there but they are just to mediocre to step the games up likes these billionares that you mentioned. We are talking about INTERNATIONAL oil trading not spare parts selling or some container BS. Niger deltan leaders have failed their ppl . The other day it was the PHD educated illiterate with 36 plasma tv's and 24 refrigerators in JUST a 4 bedroom house (avg of 4 tv's in each room including kitchen bathroom and toilethuh??Their bigman militant asari dokubo couldn't open a university in Niger delta but went to COTONOU to erect a university........mediocre lots!!!

It looks like the Emir of Gombe there? If so , what has a 1st class Emir a flag bearer of Shehu Usman Dan Fodio, a descendent of Modibbo Buba Yero, what has he got to do with the decadence of the bid'a called birthday party? What will Buba Yero, Zailani, Abubakar and Shehu What will they say if they were to see their Khalifa cutting birthday cakes among the unlearned talakawas and Haabes simply because they now have money? cry undecided huh

So much hatred and envy. It hurts you so bad when you see a rich notherner. In your world all notherners should be almajiris so you can feel good about yourself and your people but it isn't like that in the real world. A little research will show you that northerners have been wealthy even before the British came to Nigeria or even before there was any government or any oil.

No sane human being would support/promote hate speech, but in Igbo its said "igagi (ima) agba nkiti eburu ihe nnagi gafe ama ulo unu"... That is "you won't keep calm and watch your father's property being carried across ur compound". You just have to say something.

The injustice in this country is too much, they said study hard and make good grades n u get the best jobs around...done! the best job u can find without political connect pays below 100k...only to rent an accommodation in any reasonable part of Nigeria is 150k and above (self con ooo).

They say its better to study abroad or do masters abroad....done!, and they tell you we can't employ you, you haven't done your NYSC and even if you have that your remuneration is too much for them to employ you, after over 35 interviews (and spending millions to be educated) and you be like...Okay, entrepreneurship nko? You open a small business, manage register the company and government will come even as you are struggling to survive(as if them give u money hold), generating your own power and water that your

business needs to survive: business premises tax, developmental levy, VAT, Environmental levies, Security (as as u know only you can secure yourself) etc...all this to ensure you are frustrated out of business.

And when you finally survived, Company Income Tax will come with minimum tax even when you made loss... Most likely based on the small bank loan you got (since it's turnover and net assets (which will definitely be higher)
And all the Oil Companies that pays upto 95% of their Gross Profit as Tax in other countries (which is where our elites benefits from) is given 85% or less than 67% of chargable profit tax...you see my brother the country have made it difficult for honest, industrious youths to survive without coming to lick the foot of one dirty politician or another...

I have followed several threads here on nairaland and I see people attacking Nnamdi KANU (he might have starter wrongly with hate speeches and making the struggle an Igbo thing) but he's the only reason the elite have ever been scared since after the civil war, the only reason restructuring is even considered.
Nigerians should be thankful for Nnamdi KANU...even if there will never be a Biafra, we will have a sane Nigeria.
Last paragraph gave me some rays of hope, nice one bro. More ororo on your elbow

Northern leaders are just using public resources to service private individuals. Yesterday, Tambuwal buys N700 million house for Sultan in Abuja (a house that belongs to the Sultan already). Today, Dankwambo splashes millions of public resources to host a birthday event for a billionaire. And yet extreme poverty predominantly remains a Northern phenomenon.
Young and poor Northerners, take back your region from this callous elite of yours!

Nna, I love the way you said. I do not like Nnamdi Kanu's method or the noise of my igbo brothers but gentility has never served anyone right in this country... except you become controversial. I would advice every region to come up with their own "Nnamdi Kanu" and watch these men tremble. There is no other way except the Nnamdi Kanu way that can make this men sit up.

Even Mr. PhD himself who was President for close to a decade barely did anything to address the fundamental issues in the country. In other to answer your post, i will refer you to Truthtopower he had a fantastic quote earlier. You should read it. Here it is below.

I hate to reply your likes on issues that you are apparently ignorant of.
But I will do this for the benefit of those who interested in the contents of trending topics.
1. You accused Yorubas of worshiping the north.
2. Your lot accuse Yorubas of not supporting secession
3. Your lot blame Nigeria for the war.

On your first accusation.
From 1950s to 1999. Igbos were the ones in government with the north playing second fiddle. First Republic Zik was a ceremonial president. Balewa was the PM with all the Executive Powers. In the second Republic again. Shagari was the Executive president. Ekweme the vice. In 1999 Yorubas rejected the PDP as a northern contraption the igbos abandoned Ojukwu and went with the North. so tell me who had been worshiping the north with votes? The first alliance between north and west was 2015. But you forget your history of political subservience to wine about Yorubas status in the present govt. We should have stayed with GEJ and be content with just 2 substantive ministers. Omobola Johnson and Adèsina.

You accused Yorubas of not supporting secession. I will let your forefathers answer you from the grave
In 1953 the NPC under the leadership of my good friend, the late Sardauna, threatened to secede from the federation unless their 6-point proposals were adhered to. I had to use personal diplomacy. We had been personal friends since 1940. So, I saw Sir Ahmadu Bello and prevailed upon him that the unity of this country was greater than himself and myself and the other people too helped so that the North shifted grounds and agreed and so the country was saved. That was in 1953.
Again, however, when the 1954 constitution conference started, my good friend, Chief Obafemi Awolowo tabled a motion to the effect that in the new constitution, provision should be made that any state which feels like seceding should do so. I was opposed to it and said ‘no’ and said that once we have a federation, we are indivisible and perpetual. That was when we began to use that expression - ‘The Indivisibility and perpetuity of the federation’ - and that to secede would amount to treason. And so, a debate ensued.
Zik and his Igbo travellers won and Nigeria became indissoluble till today!

You blamed Nigeria for the civil war.
As per legal principle of indissolubility established by Zik, Igbos gave Nigeria the legal armour to prevent secession at all cost. Igbos killed leaders of other regions and celebrated the killings in the streets of the North. Ironsi promulgated Decree No 34 of 1966 abolishing the autonomy the region's had been enjoying. There is something about laws of warfare, it is called casus belli. cause of war. Each party to a war has a reason for the war. you have yours the north have theirs. at the end Nigerian law prevailed against Ojukwu. So you have a choice before a war. plan to fight and when you are starved run away with millions of dead bodies in your wake. or avoid war through international arbitrament. see Cameroon Vs Nigeria.

So as per our documented history of 60 years the east have been the ones worshiping the north. The West were in opposition to both the North and the East
as per who caused the war.
Ojukwu caused it. With his stubbornness. If he knew how to run. He should have done that earlier. If fought gallantly to the end he would join those who died for the cause they believed in. cowards!
