It is igbos who don't have interest in such but rather prefer buying from those who grow them and reselling. I grew cucumber and lettuce in Awka way back in 2007.

Yes, there are seeds that are compatible with different weather and soil types. So cabbages, lettuce, aubergine, radish, peppermints, chives, spring onions, peas, thyme, coriander, rosemary, fennel etc will do well in the south east.

Didn't see pics of the cucumber fruits. you only showed fruits in your hands but the plants are still too young to even bear fruits.
