Cost of Signing a New Artiste

Artiste Advances - N10,000,000
This would enable the Artiste to feed while working on his music, and he wouldn't have to worry about money at all. This would be recouped when the music make some cash.
Well you can decide not to pay Artistes an advance fee

Music Production - N3,000,000
This would cover the cost of hiring A-List Music Producers, Sound Engineers and Song Writers in the Industry, it would also cover recording cost studio time etc.
But this cost can be reduced when, if you have your own label and you have your own signed music producer, sound engineers and song writers, they would be in charge of producing the artiste.
An Artiste need about 3 Music Producers, 2 Sound Engineers, 2 Songwriters in their music projects, well you can just hire some of these guys for less amount,

Music Producers : 1 Million would cover cost of producing the Instrumentals
Sound Engineers : Some Engineers would gladly take N500,000 to Mix, Master & engineer the tracks in the album.
Song Writers : N100,000 or less and they would gladly write, but if the Artist can write himself them this category is out.

At least N2 Million Naira would cover this part of Music Production.

Music Videos - N5,000,000
This part is very important, this word cover the cost of shooting about 3 Promotional music videos, before an Artiste song drop he need about 3 Singles each with a video to promote his upcoming music album.
You can hire upcoming talented video producers and directors, at least N5,000,000 would cover this,you know sourcing for location, transportation of instruments, welfare of production team etc.

Promotion - N15,000,000
When the music album is out, the Artiste need massive promotion to get his songs to the mainstream audience, an Artist need a lot of Press Coverage, Interviews and Massive Airplay, of their songs on the media, to ensure the success of an artist more money should be spent on Promotion.
And don't forget the social media.

Distribution Deals
You need also to get a distributor and a marketer that would be in charge of taking the music to the stores, or if it's online you need those online music distributors that would ensure that your song gets to the Apple iTunes Store so that the Artiste can sell their music on the net, because in this era of the internet, music consumers hardly by CD music they prefer to buy it online, so find yourself an online music distributor,
I have no idea about the cost, but I know that when you sign a distribution deal, any revenue from the song a percentage goes to the distributor. Depending on the agreement you sign.

Graphics - N100,000
This would cover the cost of designing Album Cover Art works for promotion, and also for promotional photo shoot.


Total - N25,000,000

Grossly exaggerated. Artist advances ain't used for feeding. It's used to make the album. Tho artists cut corners and have enough left to spend. The foolish ones use it to ball. Besides how come you said it's for feeding and it has the highest budget? Wetin the artist dey chop?

That 10m for artist advance is enough to make an album even in the US!

You have to work on priorities buddy, I read your other post detailing your budget for your start up music career... And buddy you got it all wrong. It was grossly misappropriated.
