I need to travel January and my passport expires in February. I am travelling as a student and one of the visa requirements is to present a passport not less than 6 months to expiration. How do I do it? I will appreciate your advise thanks.

Yes, you can. They will just cancel out the unused pages in the current passport and issue new ones
