Ernest Azudialor founder of Obijackson group bought over all the equities of co-ventures in NECONDE and now owns the whole 45% and NPDC 55%, Okoye is CEO of Neconde

ith operatorship in hand, Malije Okoye has his work cut out: doubling production from average 11, 709BOPD in 2015 to 23,000BOPD by mid-2016.
Malije Okoye, former Manager of Deepwater Engineering and Asset Support at Shell Nigeria, is the new CEO of Neconde, the Nigerian E&P firm.

Mr. Okoye was hired from Execution Edge Ltd, an oil and gas advisory and management consulting firm where he worked for four months after he elected early retirement from Shell in November 2014.

A graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Benin, Okoye attended the Advanced Management Programme of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2006.

He takes over Neconde at a time the company has been granted operatorship of the Oil Mining Lease (OML) 42. Neconde was incorporated as an E&P company in November 2010, for the purpose of purchasing the 45% stake belonging to Shell, TOTAL and ENI, in OML 42. Equity holders in the company at the conclusion of the transaction in 2012 included the Polish minnow Kulczyk Oil Ventures Inc, the Nigerian junior Yinka Folawiyo and the Nigerian EPC contractor Nestoil, which owns the bulk of the company.

OML 42 is an 814 square kilometre tract originally awarded in 1962. Initial production commenced in 1969 and aggregate output from the acreage’s five producing fields reached a peak of approximately 250,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (“BOEPD”) in the 1970’s. Production, which was primarily oil, continued until the first part of 2005 when the producers were shut-in due to security issues in the Niger Delta area. Production at the time of the shut-in was more than 50,000 barrels of oil per day (“BOPD”) and more than 80 million cubic feet per day (“MMcf/d”) of natural gas. Average production in 2011 was 15,000BOPD.

“The sales process for OML 42 started in late 2010 and during the first part of 2011 one of the fields within the license area was put on-stream resulting in production from OML 42 of approximately 15,000 BOPD”, Kulczyk Oil reported at the time. Neconde had complained, all through the last four years, that if it had been granted operatorship of the asset, it would have done a better job than the state owned NPDC. Last year’s average production for OML 42 was 7,100BOPD. Average production this year to the last day of the month of May was 11, 709BOPD.

The May 2015 reversal of operatorship from NPDC to Neconde is an opportunity for the company to prove its mettle. This is about the first real test for Nigerian indies to show that Seplat is not a freak occurrence.

pazienza:
Common sense should have told you that Ebele Okobi who the article talked about is a different personality with your Uber woman and that the pic mix up was a mistake, as no where in the article was Uber mentioned.
Ebele Okobi the face book girl is from Asaba.
Obviously, common sense failed you when sourcing the pics and info so you missed the obvious difference especially considering the fact that the pictures were under 2 different links and internet titles.

When you make any mistake, you correct it by taking down the picture and info, nut have done that? No, the picture and fraduoent info is still there.

It was deliberate, not any kind of silly mistake. Or maybe it was incompetence and basic intellectual curiosity..

Either way, it was fraud and deception just like the whole of this thread.

It's nothing but repetition, recycling, fake posts and fraudulent claims.

The Nembe Creek Pipeline construction was the largest single project under the SPDC joint venture’s asset integrity programme that replaced more than 1000 km of deteriorated major pipelines and flowlines in the last five years in Nigeria.

In mid 2007, the package A of the NCTL pipeline project was awarded to Nestoil as part of the crucial programme of replacement of deteriorated pipelines and flowlines. Package A of this 97km Nembe Cawthorne Channel Shell pipeline project involved major construction in a harsh mangrove swamp terrain of the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria and traversed three cluster communities and 100 autonomous indigenous communities in both Bayelsa and Rivers State of Nigeria.

The pipeline installation required 7 major river crossings, the longest (Sego River) being approximately 1.1km. Another 44 minor river and creek crossings of various sizes required extensive dredging activities. It also required the fabrication and site installation of 2 brand new main Tie-in manifolds at Nembe 1 and San Bath, hook up to 6 other manifolds, 4 pig traps and associated piping.

Nestoil mobilised for field construction in 2008, a time when the security challenges in the Niger Delta was at its peak. On September 24, 2010, Nestoil successfully completed and commissioned this project one month ahead of schedule.

In addition to several Shell Commendation Awards received by Nestoil for a satisfactory and timely project execution and commissioning, it also received a Shell Award certificate for executing high risk activities in the face of a challenging security situation without a single fatality. 98% of the workforce who were involved with this project were Nigerians, including the Project Manager and the numerous project Engineers. This is a great testament to Nigeria’s Local content policy and the development of indigenous manpower.
