Obviously, common sense failed you when sourcing the pics and info so you missed the obvious difference especially considering the fact that the pictures were under 2 different links and internet titles.

When you make any mistake, you correct it by taking down the picture and info, nut have done that? No, the picture and fraduoent info is still there.

It was deliberate, not any kind of silly mistake. Or maybe it was incompetence and basic intellectual curiosity..

Either way, it was fraud and deception just like the whole of this thread.

It's nothing but repetition, recycling, fake posts and fraudulent claims.
You are obviously mentally retarded.

No where in the article was the Igala woman or her Uber exploit mentioned.
All that was mentioned was the Igbo woman that once worked in Google and then Facebook exploits.
And then a picture mix up happened.

To any neutral person out there, the pic makes no difference, as I don't even know both to start with. I would just assume the pic belongs to the Igbo woman, whose achievements the article was all about.

No where was the Igala woman or her achievements claimed as those of the Igbo woman.

Century Power and Time Power another subsidiary of Obijackson

Century Power Generation Limited (CPG) and Time Power Global Dynamics Limited (TPGD) are power generation and distribution companies respectively, pursuing opportunities presented by the Nigerian Government’s policy regarding private power generation.
CPG is a power generation company, created as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to acquire and develop existing power plants in Nigeria, as well as build new power plants via IPPs to help boost the nation’s installed power capacity. CPG is currently developing a 1500 MW power plant in Okija, Anambra State, Nigeria. The plant would be a Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) to be built in three phases:

Phase 1 – which is ongoing – involves the construction of a 495 MW (ISO) Open Cycle Power Plant (OCPP) consisting of multiple E-class gas turbines, with provisions to add Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) and steam turbines in a later phase. Phase 1 is due to be commissioned in September, 2015.
Phase 2: Extension of the 495MW OCPC to a 750MW (ISO) CCPP by the installation of HRSCs and a steam turbine.

Phase 3: Installation of a second 750 MW (ISO) CCPP block (i.e. 500MW OCPP + 250MW Steam turbine).

Commissioning of the plant’s full capacity is scheduled for the second half of 2018.

The project site is a 31.9 hectares plot of virgin land wholly owned by CPG, and is situated along the Onitsha-Owerri express road. The site is bordered on the East by the Ulasi River and on the West by Onitsha-Owerri express road. It is approximately 25km from the Oguta gas fields, about 15km from Nnewi (a major Nigerian industrial and economic centre), and 25km from Onitsha (another major economic area).

TPGD is an SBU that was created to participate in the ongoing effort to increase Nigeria’s electricity distribution by increasing customer access to economic and reliable electricity supply in the urban and rural areas, increasing the number of registered customers, and reducing distribution losses. As an indigenous company, TPGD is fully committed to help alleviate Nigeria’s power shortage issue in metropolitan, rural and remote communities around the country.

You are leading in everything under the sun, but nearly all the companies you listed in this thread are not in iboland and you are still shouting and crying marginalization.

Your towns and villages are still backward, your states are still unproductive and your people still have to leave for other parts of Nigeria to make ends meet.

Your states still have the lowest IGR and state budgets in Nigeria so you can post your made up rubbish and beat that chest all you want, but realities in your towns and villages don't jive with your chest beating.

Again, if you are so rich, smart, productive and blessed with all the things you listed and beat your chest with, then why are you shouting marginalization? Shouldn't the people you are richer and better than be the ones shouting marginalization. See how meaningless and pointless that was.

You can not have it both ways.

Nearly everything you listed here are not located in iboland, they don't employ any worker in iboland, they don't pay any taxes OGR in iboland abd this is why there are no jobs in iboland, this ios wy they must leave and head to the SW for surviavl, this is why the IGR and budgets in your states are the lowest.

If other states in the SW apart from Lagos are not better than your townd and villages, they what are your people doing there?

Why go to places where the people there are poor and you are better than?

Shouldn't they be the one running to your so called rich and prosperous towns and villages to make ends meet like you do all over the SW.

I don't even know why you are arguing because this is common sense and even.

I know you people live and breath meaningless and empty chest beating, but obvious realities doesn't suport your chest beating, there's just nothing there, you are just decieving yourself because people can see and even you yourself can see hence crying merginilization all over the lace.

By Bennett Oghifo
A new edifice that would for years to come remain a defining touchstone in structural design and architectural elegance has risen in Victoria Island, Lagos, and it's no surprise why it has been a talking point ever since.
Buildings have long gone beyond serving goals that are merely functional; they have invariably become artistic statements whose aesthetic allure is comparable to an exquisite oil painting on a shimmering canvas. And like works of art lend some beauty to their surrounding space, so do buildings to streets and neighbourhoods. It's for similar reasons that the Nestoil Towers has been such a compelling presence in its Victoria Island, Lagos, location.
Since the protective screen that had obscured a full view during construction was unfurled, the structure has cast a seductive spell, drawing adoring glances. "Caring for the environment is an integral part of us, and so we decided to construct a structure that is intelligent, environmentally friendly and pleasing in aesthetics," a statement from the company announces. If there was any doubt those goals had been achieved, a look at some of its features would dispel such notion.
The approximately 75-metre high Nestoil Towers which sits on a floor area of 32,300 m2. is one of Nigeria's first Silver LEED-certified buildings. Indeed, you really do not have to be versed in the rarefied world of architecture to grasp the import of this. Apart from helping owners save money and resources, LEED-certified buildings foster renewable, clean energy which, ultimately, culminates in improved health for occupants. These are goals regularly voiced by architects and structural engineers, but the seeming impracticability often tends to make such commitments sound more like lip service.
So the project is, essentially, a triumph of ingenuous thinking - a creative handling of a challenging situation. The project's first major challenge is evident in the rather limited size of the land area. This reality had always proved a logistical nightmare during construction, especially at the outset in October 2010, when the Nestoil Group conceived the idea for the development of a mixed use facility, combining offices, parking and living.
That task was entrusted to ACCL Ltd in partnership with JBN/BB Nig. Deploying cutting edge technology and a painstaking attention to detail, the designers and builders remarkably surmounted the challenge of space. The resulting 15-floor structure provide 9 storeys of parking, 23 apartments on 5 levels and 14 office floors including one executive office floor. The icing on the cake, it seems, is a building crown which combine to give the high-rise an imperious presence in the Victoria Island skyline.
Victoria Island's high ground water level was another challenge the engineers had to contend with. The solution was a secant bore pile wall and a jet grouting plug. The Tower's structural integrity could be further glimpsed from the fact that it is secured by a combined pile raft and bored piles with a maximum depth of 54 meters and a foundation slab with a thickness of 1.8 metres. Also, the façade combines a structural glazing system with a high selective glass and a state of the art ALUCOBOND metal façade. So, the building's strong points transcends its aesthetic appeal; there is as much unseen - but reassuring - details to be smitten with.
Sitting literally in the centre of Victoria Island on the Akin Adesola Street junction which connects Bar Beach in the southern flank with Falomo Bridge in the north, and Saka Tinubu Street, the Nestoil Towers is perpetually in the public eye. Amid the commercial bustle and regular traffic gridlock for which Victoria Island is noted, the building is a pleasant distraction.
"The construction of this magnificent edifice, was solely funded by Guaranty Trust Bank," an official of the company explained. "Nestoil's ability to secure this type of credit facility from a bank, was not only a culmination of a strong banking relationship between GTBank and Nestoil Limited, that has spanned over a decade, but also a reflection of the bank's belief and confidence in Nestoil's long term vision and strategy.
"This strong financial support shown by GTBank, is a reflection of the bank's confidence in the Nestoil business and demonstrates their continued willingness and ability to support the company in the long term. GTBank has distinguished themselves as one of the few banks in Nigeria, that truly champion local content and the growth of deserving Nigerian enterprises."
Indeed, in a clime that teems with projects whose completion was either blighted by paucity of funds or litigation arising from disputes between organisations and their bankers, it's a tribute to both company's fidelity to contractual obligations that 36 months after construction began, the Nestoil Towers is ready for use in October. The expected pomp that goes with such grand accomplishments would, perhaps, put Nestoil in the spotlight. It's a celebration that no one should begrudge for a company that launched a modest strides in the oil and gas sector which have today blossomed exceedingly.
"Nestoil and its affiliate companies having operated in the oil and gas sector for over two decades, took a decision to construct its corporate headquarters that will be an Icon that represents the company and what it stands for," a spokesperson for the company said. "In seeking to give ourselves a corporate address identity which will also accommodate Nestoil and its affiliate companies, the Nestoil Towers was born. It also made economic and business sense to have all companies within its corporate group [The Obijackson Group] under one roof, with sufficient lettable office space for desiring third parties."
So, building the Nestoil Towers was a natural progression consistent with the company's dream for excellence. Similarly, attaining a LEED-certified status was by no means a vainglorious quest. The benefits accruing from that may be intangible, but they are nonetheless priceless. In developing such buildings, there is often a focus on materials used for construction. That, of course, goes beyond how much is used to get a better understanding of what's in the materials we specify for our buildings and the effect those components have on human health and the environment. There is as well a more performance-based approach to indoor environmental quality to ensure improved occupant comfort. In addition, a clearer picture of water efficiency is attained. This stems from a capacity to evaluate a building's total water use.
Yet, some would still ask what the fuss about being LEED-certified is all about. In an age where sustainable development has become an existential imperative, it's actually no grandstanding having a seal affirming one's commitment to the ideals of a liveable world. The LEED plaque on a building is a mark of quality and achievement in green building. Across the world, LEED has become the most widely used green building rating system with an average of 1.85 million square feet of construction space certified every day. LEED certification provides independent verification of a building or neighbourhood's green features, allowing for the design, construction, operations and maintenance of resource-efficient, high-performing, healthy, cost-effective buildings. It is, simply put, the triple bottom line in action: benefiting people, planet and profit.
Still, it has to be said that the Nestoil Towers' elegance would be undiminished even without a green certification because an excellent work of art does not require any form of validation. Its beauty is self evident. You would agree if you had seen this building. Those who haven't yet can only imagine the outcome of a blend of the science and art of good taste.

Oando Akute Independent Power Plant

Last year, Oando Plc, one of the nation’s indigenous energy group commissioned its first IPP, Akute Power to supply stable electricity to the Lagos Water Corporation (LWC). The 12.15 megawatt plant was expected to power LWC’s main water intake facility, including two other facilities with a combined installed capacity of 125 million gallons of water per day. The $25.5 million project was finance by Fidelity Bank, one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions.

According to the company, the project included the construction of a 13km gas pipeline from Oando’s existing natural gas grid in Lagos to supply fuel to the power plant. It added that the gas-fuelled IPP is eco-friendly and enables an immediate increase in capacity utilisation of LWC whilst creating substantial savings for the LWC in annual energy cost.

At the commissioning, Mr Wale Tinubu, Group Chief Executive, Oando Plc said the IPP is a significant milestone for Oando, marking its entry into the Nigerian power sector and another major step in the development of our mid and down-stream business.

Similarly, Mr Babatunde Fashola, the Executive Governor of Lagos State said, “This project is a classic example of how public private partnerships can benefit the people: It means that by shifting from diesel to gas, we are saving 27 percent of our energy cost to provide water, which translates to about $11,000 of taxpayer’s money daily and $3.9 million annually.” This plant is as well not run in full capacity.

Ecobank seeks to appeal ruling in bankruptcy case against Otudeko

Ecobank Nigeria Limited has applied to the Court of Appeal in Lagos for extension of time to enable it seek leave to appeal a ruling by Justice Babs Kuewumi of the Federal High Court in Lagos in a winding-up petition against chairman of Honeywell Group, Oba Otudeko.

The bank initiated the bankruptcy proceedings against Otudeko over an alleged N5.5billion debt by virtue of loan facilities availed Honeywell Flour Mills Plc, Siloam Global Services Limited and Anchorage Leisures Limited, said to have been personally guaranteed by Otudeko.

The appellant is seeking an order by the Appeal Court granting it leave to appeal the ruling delivered last February 19.

The ruling followed the winding-up petition filed by Ecobank on October 17, 2015, accompanied by motion ex-parte and motion on notice.

The bank said the petition was a bid to recover the money from Otudeko “considering the looming and impending danger of having its banking licence withdrawn after the respondent failed to liquidate its indebtedness after several demands.”

Justice Okon Abang, who first handled the case, asked the bank to put the respondent on notice to show cause. After being put on notice, Otudeko filed a motion on notice seeking to dismiss/strike out the petition.

Justice Kuewumi, who took over from Justice Abang, ruled that he would accord higher priority to Otudeko’s motion on notice ahead of other pending applications.

Dissatisfied with the ruling, Ecobank appealed. The Court of Appeal, last October 21, struck out the appeal on the basis that the appellant did not first obtain leave of the lower court before appealing.

The bank is, therefore, seeking for reliefs to enable it invoke the Court of Appeal’s jurisdiction to entertain the appeal.

“The applicant (Ecobank) ran out of time to appeal as a result of the previous proceedings in suit no CA/L/227/16 which was not determined on the merit as a result of failure to procure the needed leave.

“The leave of this court is required to extend time to obtain leave of court to appeal the ruling of lower court. It is in the interest of justice that this application be favourably considered and granted accordingly,” the bank prayed.

The bank, through its lawyer Mr Kunle Ogunba (SAN) is seeking a receiving order against Otudeko’s estate, funds, investment and shares in Honeywell Group, Honeywell Flour Mills, among other companies, as well as an order declaring him bankrupt.

Ecobank prayed for an order commanding Otudeko to immediately avail it the companies’ statement of affairs as well as net worth and other credible financial details as required by the Bankruptcy Act.

It asked for a consequential order empowering the bank to sell Otudeko’s properties wherever they are situated, as well as an order enabling it to utilise the investments or shares in companies in which Otudeko has interest.

In a motion on notice, Ecobank, among others, is also seeking an interlocutory order appointing a special manager and receiver over Otudeko’s assets.

But, Otudeko, in its counter-affidavit sworn to by Omolade Adeyemi, has urged the Court of Appeal to refuse Ecobank’s application.

He said the bank had prosecuted the subject-matter of the appeal and judgment had been given in which the Court of Appeal upheld his preliminary objection and struck out appeal.

The respondent said the appellate court also attended to the appeal on its merits, considered arguments by parties and affirmed the correctness of Justice Kuewumi’s ruling.

“It is in the interest of justice to refuse the applicant’s application,” Otudeko said.

In the lower court, the Honeywell Group’s chairman said the alleged debt “is neither ascertained nor undisputed.”

He added that Honeywell Four Mills and its sister companies commenced a suit against the bank before another judge “owing to disagreements between it (Honeywell) and the respondent (Ekobank) as to the complete liquidation of their outstanding obligations to the respondent having regards to the terms and condition of the credit facility.”

1. The discussion wasn't about Oando or Otedola using loan facilities and no assertion was ever made that both men never used loan facilities in their operations and in fact, only ignorant and unintelligent people make such claims since business most of the time finance their operations with loans. This is the reason why they all have debt ledgers.

2. You on the other hand as usual per your meaningless and hopeless chest beating ways openly asserted that you village business man did not finance his building with bank loans, this is the issue, you own lie is the issue so it is pointless and fraudulent to support your lies by posting rubbish about Oando and Otedola taking loans because no such assertions were ever made.

3. You lied as usual and got caught so pointing fingers at other people taking loan is irrelevant and redundant.

You lied and got called out. PERIOD.

Lagos is no man's land? grin grin

Nuff said... grin grin grin

Btw, taxes and IGR from all the ibo companies in Lagos/SW you listed in this thread including your nestoil and jackson or whatever you call him goes to the people of Lagos state to develop Lagos state and the SW, but definitely not any inch of iboland.

Nna, the joke is on you grin grin grin

Oga there is no region that does not shout marginalization in Nigeria. Its just a normal thing here. North, South, East and West are all guilty of shouting marginalization at one time or the order so trying to make it an igbo thing alone is quite hypocritical.

I have been to Ogun state, Ekiti state and Oyo state and there is nothing fantastic about them, in terms of beauty, that makes Igbo land appear bad before them. If you are telling me about land mass then I can agree. I also agree in the area of industries built in your region but that's mainly in Lagos. .

For me both Yoruba and Igbo are really trying in this country. We dont need to be bashing ourselves all the time. We are too educated to keep engaging in such primitive act.

Kindly allow the guy to finish posting the Igbo owned investments he is posting here. Pls stop distracting them. We are enjoying what they are posting. Thanks for complying to my request.

I don't remember asserting anything about beauty or stopping people from posting anything, the issue here is people lying, making false and bogus claims and refusing to correct their false and deceiving info.

It's ok if you enjoy fake, 419 and bogus claims, other people simply don't
