Well no one says they should give them 4 to 5yrs haha, Yes President Buhari is not a King but duly elected president and don't forget the fact that he has never breached any of our constitution, Yes he is sick and on medical leave and before that he transmit letter to the NASS by transferring power to his vice..

Using footballer as your point makes you shoot yourself in the leg, When a footballer in injured, They replace him with another football if he can't continue and in this case we have Osinbajo that run on the same ticket with Buhari, They both run on the same ticket and won..

PMB have never broken any Law or constitution whatsoever, Many US President got sick while in power and have never resign..

Below is a link to educate yourself and to know all the useless protesters was either sponsored based on hatred or the protesters are just plain stupid to know Buhari has never broken any constitutional law..

Sounds like you have your Nigerian constitution handy.

What does it say about medical leave for a President? Is it indefinite.

VP Osinbajo is not the President. He doesn't have the constitutional power to act in that capacity as long as we still have a "President"

You shot yourself in the foot by trying to twist my football analogy.

If they replace injured players, than our sick President should be replaced by another healthy player. In our current situation, VP Osinbajo is playing 2 roles. He is VP and also "acting President" which shouldn't be the case.

So in your own case someone can have control over his own health? So if someone is sick and did not feel better after 3 month he should resign or be sack? How about Nursing mother that always have atleast 3month Maternity leave?
Can't the animal resign, the same bas tard that told abi na ask yaradua to resign is now lying In the morgue in faraway London with tax payers money

This is simply a case of what's good for the goose not being good for the gander. What did Buhari say when the late president Musa Yaradua was ill? I will not wish Buhari death. No! I pray he recovers to see the mess his ineptitude and that of members of his cabinet have put Nigeria in.

This is a more mature way of responding to the arguments of the protesters than illegally trying to prevent them from protesting. The presidency should have engaged them meaningfully and point it out clearly to them that the president has not broken any law by taking a medical vacation for over 90 days. The president complied with the provisions of the constitution before traveling unlike Yar'adua who traveled without handing over. There is legally no lacuna in the presidency and the government is running very smoothly.
Please 2 questions Which money is he using for treatment public or private money, These days he has been abroad is his salary suspended or is he still paid?.

In that case, should we give all nursing mothers 4 or 5 years of paid maternity leave, so that they raise their children to an acceptable age?

And President Buhari is not even a nursing mother. He is President of Nigeria. Not King of Nigeria.

Even in football, if you fall down, they will try to attend to you, but if you delay the game, they will carry you off, so that the game can proceed.

President Buhari's absence is delaying Nigeria's progress. He needs to resign or resume. Nigerians have been quite patient.

And does the Nigerian constitution say anything about medical leave for political office holders?
please Buharis return will not change the price of garri .. You want him to return as if you love him .. The protesters should rather protest about unemployment or electricity . Chali Man wanna be 2baba .. na popularity stunt

To the senate justifying PMB actions, can you accord a member of staff in your establishment the same treatment?

The answer is obviously no!
Can't this senate be reasonable if only for once.

The senate is right!

I agree he has put a very capable person in power while he is away and to be honest it's not like those protesting can do a better job we are talking about health and not vacation matter you wouldn't want to be called to work when you are being treated for an ailment so why subject him to the harsh treatment

Even CNN is so wrong and should be questioned there is an acting president his absence does not impede the actions of the government

don't be silly, mister! is a president allowed to embark on indefinite leave? if you're terminally ill- and yes he is- and unfit to carry out your duties, ain't you morally obliged to resign your post? what sort of fuckery is this?

The Nigerian Senate has warned the 'Resume or Resign' protesters to leave president Buhari alone. The Senate cautioned sponsors and participants in the protests by a coalition of civil society organizations, operating under the aegis of #OurMumuDonDo and demanding for the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari over his medical vacation in the United Kingdom to stop heating up the polity with their unreasonable demands.

In a statement signed by its spokesman, Dr Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, the Senate said the protesters were only creating unnecessary tension in the country and seeking to divert the attention of the Presidency from the economic and security issues which are being tackled with vigour.

The Senate noted that President Buhari had complied with the provisions of the nation’s ground norm, the Constitution, which stipulated that he must hand over to the Vice President and duly inform the two chambers of the legislature about his medical vacation.

“The President has broken no law and therefore we do not see any justification for this diversion and noise making. The sponsors are merely seeking cheap publicity at the expense of the peace of Nigeria. We, in the National Assembly, are satisfied that there is no vacuum. The Federal Government is working. Acting President Yemi Osinbajo is providing the required leadership. So, there is no reason for the protests.

“All Nigerians now should focus on praying for the safe return of the President. We in the Senate are happy about the report by the Governors and party leaders who recently visited President Buhari in London and we know he will soon return to continue to provide leadership to our people and the rest of Africa.

“We, therefore, call on the protesters to stop all these demonstrations and let their sense of patriotism overshadow the zeal for activism by joining other Nigerians to pray for the President, the acting President and Nigeria as a country at this critical period”, Abdullahi stated.

we are finished

the senate spokesman has now turned to buharis spokesman...what a shame?

how did we even degenerate to this level? an organ of government that is supposed to act as a means of CHECK to the executive is here holding unsolicited brief for the same executive.

the people elcted BUHARI not osibanjo, this is not even about vacuum in government neither is it about breaking any law, its simple 'buhari should resume or resign" thier is a big difference between an ACTING president and a PRESIDENT

for starters a president is also the COMMANDER IN CHIEF of the armed forces and thier can only be one commander in chief so untill the president is no more or resigns an acting presidents power is obviously limited.

Legally, there is not power vacuum but morally, who leave his post for 3 months and not lose his or her job? Buhari has shown average Nigerians that he is more corrupt than any politician because out of job for months and still getting paid is worse than corruption..

Like seriously? Do u av a job? Not sure do. If not u wont make this ignorant rant. Companies do even pay for medical bills for months of their staffs while out of the job due to being ill. Stop saying thrash buddy.
