So are you now assuming that there was no consent in this case.
How would you know that there was no consent.
Common sense should tell you that sir!

I feel it's not right to allow this kind of picture leak to the social media. Good job by the doctor and I pray God to help the victims but we should watch the type of things we post for the public.

I hope you won't bother being cut open in a poorly lighted & non sterile room.

That wasn't a planned surgery but an emergency, so where did the doctor get the consent of a patient under anaesthesia?

Someone definitely not the doctor took the photos but certainly not without the doctor's nod.

While I thank them for saving that patient's life, I can't help but say, the procedure was done aseptically.

Did you see any of them properly kitted for surgery?

Anyways, it is no use trying to educate you on this thread cos you don't appear to know right from wrong.

Talking about you lecturing me on medical ethics, I am very open to learn, but not from a mediocre!
You cannot assume that the environment is not sterile. Based on evidence from the picture, the doctor followed all known sterile procedure. He had complete personal protection equipment. (Gown, special surgical gloves, face mask, low hair cut and clean shave while facing the patient).

Also he has the patient positioned up, above his waistline . The table is draped, and patient is preeped as evidenced by the green aseptic surroundings.

The doctor is not holding the torch to avoid breaking the environment.. moreover the rest of the people are not in contact with patient except for one who is equally preeped.

Sterile environment is more about the ability and expertise to maintain it. From the picture, there is no indication that the environment is compromised. Every other assumptions you make is based on sentiments and have no fact whatsoever.

Again, I repeat that the doctor has not done any wrong in posting the pictures if he was the one that actually posted them.
When patients go to the doctors, they except to be treated with respect and dignity. The doctor owes the patient a duty to up hold these ethical principles. It is called duty of care. Without being biased or judgemental, non of the standards were violated. Privacy and respect for the person of the patient which is cardinal here, were observed.

To address your last concern which is the issue of informed consent, in this instance consent is implied. When a patient is incompetent due to medical conditions, the doctor is in the position to invoke his partetnistic rights except there is an Advanced Directive. As long as the doctor does no harm ( non malificient) but acts to benefit the patient (benefacto), the law is on his side. This is a situation of life or death. The doctor has the authority to carry out the procedure because you and I - the society- has empowered him to do so by the virtue of the law establishing his profession.

From those pictures the doctor did follow all known standards. The question should have been, would another doctor with equal training and in the same environment do anything different? The answer is no. In this case, although he was constrained by resources, yet he saved a life.

If you need more lectures on medical ethics, please don't hesitate to PM me. Cheers.
