That muscle will carry you for the next 9 months. This is why Kenya and Jamaica were sanctioned because their athletes were doping freely while training in Kenya and Jamaica before competition season abroad and their authorities were not testing judiciously. I watched one documentary on Ben Johnson where he said he was only using his steroids for training, but he made a mistake and took it too close to Seoul 88, that's why he was caught. The lack of funding for the AFN, and by extension, the athletes will ensure that the Americans, East Africans, and Jamaicans will continue to dominate Athletics. If there was adequate funding, the athletes would be able to dope , train harder and be major challengers at world events.

I once said that 95% of the Sports Ministry's budget should be allocated to all sports, except football because the corporate bodies seem to favor sponsoring the NFF and footie tournaments over other sports. For instance, Nigeria has decent men's and women's basketball national teams; the weight lifters, wrestlers, boxers, volleyball and rugby teams aren't too bad in African comps either.
