He has not given pictorial evidence of the said dead dog, even if you don't have it, contact your friend and collect it, I thought they are breeders, and they should always know that such things can happen anytime, so they should be prepared to give out pictorial evidence.

Prodeegee has not come out to give way forward, just because two people has supported him, he chose to talk about way forward, he's trying to be the victim.

Prodeegee might have been a little inconsiderate...but I see his reasons...cos the first extra expense of 5k incurred by prodeegee was not handled well by OP...he just kept saying he would pay making it difficult for Prodeegee to financially commit without the OPs consent...
That was why Prodeegee insisted he send someone to come pick up the dog when she became sick...because it's clear finance is a problem with the OP.
Prodegee ur mistake: u ddnt carry Mr wunmi along with standard pet boarding policy...anything can happen at the period of boarding..weda the dog is directly at ur place or at a 3rd party's kennel...you took the dog from OP.
you ffucked up...u opened urself to unnessary harassment and I think u should apologise well compensate the guy with something if possible. Not becos he's right but because u ddnt kick off this arrangement well fully documented and properly signed

Mr wumi/ dog owner/Op: I guess u don't know much about boarding policy, ur dog isn't a play station or a car. It's a living thing, ur own Best canine friend... anything can happen during boarding periods...
My own policy on pet boarding is that you either u have a standard vet where i'll take ur pet to for treatment if such need comes up. U sort the pay with ur vet, u only pay me for transport and inconvenience....
Par adventure, u don't have a registered/ personal vet..u make an arrangement to come pick up ur dog take care of it urself or 3rd party which is already on the document u signed, or u arrange with me to help u take the dog for treatment at a fee u must pay....
But u ddnt even make such arangee with prodeegee...u were handling the matter as if prodeegee came to borrow a car from you..so he has to give it back to u as he took it...u kept saying ur dog was fine, so he can't tell u to come pick it when it became ill. Actually ur dog isn't perfect, she has a history of miscarriage(that's a red flag)
There was a place in the screen shot I read, prodeegee was actually saying u ddnt even care to talk about how the dog will be cared for.. and that was why he was nonchalant with you telling you to send someone to come take ur dog and treat it on ur own....
Remember you couldn't even pay his 5k ontime at some point u were even saying, if it's a 100year, u will pay...going out of his way for u became difficult for him..cos it's lik u were seeing the case as prodeegee's ultimate financial and moral responsibility to treat ur dog just cos he took it from you
Anyways: sorry for ur loss...u deserve an apology and some compensation since there was no documented agreement

If you read through all his comment, he never denied it, he even came out to admit it.

He even collected more than what we bargained for in monetary aspect, but still went ahead to pay him, despite the fact that I was in a tight corner.

All I wanted is for him to show the whole world pictorial evidence, He's a breeder, and when it comes to pictures, they don't joke with it while boarding a dog.

Even if he said he was not around when the dog died, I believe his friend would alert him, and he would request for pictures as an evidence and send to me, even his friend does not have the pictorial evidence.

Please bro, is that fair, I want you to put me in your shoe, how would you react if your dog died in the hands of the person you trust so much and he never even feel remorse to show you picture evidence.

He keeps deviating from the initial reason why this thread was created, he never even talk about way forward too

One of the reason I told him to go and collect zara from my fiancée, was because, if am not reachable, because of my far distance then (Akwa ibom), she would be calling to get more info and also be to rush to where Zara was if need be.

But he told my fiancée not to call him again, that he has no business with her.

If everybody are saying I am at fault, I have admitted it, but where is the pictorial evidence of the dead dog? That's my question to him.

And he never show any sign of remorse and never even talked about way forward.

My problem is that I believe he's trustable, not knowing he's not somebody you can bank on

80% of the people are systematically taking his side. I don't see any sign of remorse from this pro guy neither do I see any form of professionalism on his part. He doesn't act like a professional company that he claim he is (Someone with a Certificate of Incorporation).

Let's assume the dog died (Which I doubt until proven otherwise), and no pictorial evidence (makes no sense but let's buy it small), at least as a professional, he should show some signs of remorse to even comfort you(Even if it may be fake). But from all I have seen so far, it lacks all of these. No remorse, No professionalism, Looks creepy and crappy.

Arrest the bloody dude and get this over with. Let him explain himself in court. Not on nairaland.

I have handed him over to God to judge, if I was the one at fault, God should judge me, but if he was the one God should take it from there.

I don't know it is now bad to trust somebody to the bone, even when you have not seen each other face to face till date before.

I wanted to press further, was waiting for our family lawyer who is currently out of state, but got loads of emails from alot of nairalanders to just let it die down.

Infact some people I have not even came across on nairaland have messaged me to help me press further in the court for FREE, but I had to just decline.

I really appreciate your concern.

We lose dogs and even humans everyday, but it's one of those things, it's one of the challenges of breeding. Any experienced breeder or dog owner in here can honestly tell how it feels to lose dogs.

So bro, my advice again. Work things out with each other. Life doesn't end here, you guys might still meet and need each other's help. A lot of posters might say what they feel or poison ur mind, but then, they're not you, they can't feel what u feel, they were not there when zara was ill, or what you've gone thru, or how she died.

So bro, let it slide. Work around it with ur guy. I know u guys can work something out. Sh1t happens in business, but the ability to move on is what makes a good Businessman.

I just saw the name prodegee for the first time on nairaland and was amazed at his kind gesture on a nairalander who couldn't afford arion dry food for his dog. Prodegee offered to give him half of the money. Whether he fulfilled his promise is a story for another day. BUT AT LEAST HE THOUGHT ABOUT IT!!!. Op, I love dogs so much but what prodegee did for you, I cannot afford to do. To feed your dog for how many months? For how much? Let's always try to put someone in our shoes before passing judgement.
Op, this is a candid advice, from your chat with prodegee i will advise you restrain from owning dogs in the future because it seems your sole motive of raising the dog was for business and since the dog is always having miscarriage, you felt its of no need to you.
