Security in Imo outside Owerri is hell. Imo has a weird governor who bought 50 Police cars and ordered the cars for state capital only. He also bought more than 100 buses and taxis only for state capita. The killing of people in their farms should be taken seriously by the state government. It's obvious some people want to be the only one feeding Nigeria. The state government need to set up space for farmland where interested individuals would pay a token for fertilizers, 24/7 armed security personnel who are indigenes of the state and surveillance system. Many years ago, only one person can go into his farm and work from morning till evening. But things are a lot different now, so individuals going to farm alone should be careful. The people protesting this evil wants to supply you groundnuts, rice, beans, Tomatoes, even fruits. Hence, making the south, east and west to depend on them. The state government should start their own farms and produce food for their states. |
