I think you might have to assess your credentials with WES or IQAS. Send them an email to confirm. I'm pretty sure you'll be using them.
Okay. Thanks, I'll send them one.

Amazing, so happy for you. I got the same feeling this morning. My brother have written this exam 4 times and today we found peace and good new. Congrats

bigfido:
For the dude that passed the ielts that is complaining bitterly, please be thankful to God.

I have written ielts 7 times. My journey started since 2015. My Wes has been ready since then, but because of age and ielts, I have been falling short. I wrote ielts and got moderate score. I didn't know what was required then, since then, it has been a battle for me. My last 3 scores were 8,7.5,7,6... 7.5,7.5,7.5,7... 7.5,8,7,7..after the 6th one in June, I swore I was done with this dream. I had sunk so much money into this. I have gone to dubai to write celpip, went to dubai again for new brunswick info session, spent money 2ice on SINP and all to no avail. I was frustrated and devastated. July, I told my spouse to let me try ielts one more time. Even thou she didn't want to see me hurt again, she let me have my way. As for her she was done. She wanted the dream closed and buried. I don't blame her. So I paid and decided to change venue, this time I went to Ibadan, meaning I was spending more again. Then something changed. I prayed a lot about it. For catholics amongst us, please pray the prayers for exams to St Joseph of Cupertino. I went into the hall, did my best and left. I couldn't even beat my chest about my performance. I have been humbled by Ielts. But I kept on praying. I am not going to fail the 7th time. In between that time, a stranger in Lere2017 on this platform came into my life. She needed something from me. I actually wasn't in the mood to talk to her (reply her pm) but I did. We got talking and I told her my story. She was touched and she also truly prayed for me seriously. She will send me messages almost everyday telling me how much I was in her prayers and letting me know all is well. Yesterday midnight was the most awkward time of my life.. From 12 am till 7 am this morning, I was refreshing ielts website to check my result. The fear and panic was too intense. When I didn't see anything, I decided to go to their office to pick up my result.. That drive was filled with swallowing stone like saliva. On the bridge, I decided to refresh it again.. My result was there. My soul left my body and my eyes became blurry. I didn't know what I was reading but I knew I was reading.. L-9, R-8,S-8,W-7

I felt water swell up in my eyes. I understood what it is to look for something within your grasp and yet not have it. I am still basking in this euphoria so I can't real explain my ordeals. So please if you have it on a platter of gold, don't come here to rub it in on people that are going through a lot of even have a slice of what you have. For me the journey starts soon. I now have 450 points. I pray we all get to the promise land. Thank you @lere2017 I appreciate you. That's the beauty of this thread. Goodluck to everyone. I apologise for the long post and misspellings

Hello Everyone,

I'm so happy to have found this thread. Congrats to everyone getting PPR and all the different milestones.

Please seniors in the house...

Sorry for coming here with my wahala again, but I'm just a bit panicky. I got ITA, and I am about to submit my e-APR, but this issue about refused visa has me perplexed.
You see, I have a current Canadian visitor visa, and I only realised that I forgot to reveal I was refused UK visa in the past in my previous application form.
With this EE application, I'm thinking it's best to write out the details of this visa refusal, and explain there was an error in me not including it in my last visa application in an LOE.
People are telling me not to do this, as I would be implicating myself, which can negatively impact my application. But I'm afraid being banned for not including this information, or being refused for not explaining the discrepancy... Would me writing the LOE be negative to my application? Am I ko baing myself?

Please help, as I want to submit today. I eagerly anticipate your opinions

Thanks for the good work you guys are doing here.

I have a small question please. I evaluated my OND and Bsc with WES and the summary reads "Canadian equivalency: Diploma (2 years) and Bachelors (4 years)". This OND I obtained before my BSc.

I have gone through this thread and especially through cochtrane's summaries (God bless for the wonderful work). I saw some previous people who also had OND before Bsc and it was evaluated the same. Also, I have learnt HND and OND is observed by WES to be 2 or more years. Even though the OND is obtained before the HND.

Now, here's my question: is it okay to use this to claim "two or more certificates"? According to the CIC website, I think they were talking about Post-graduate diploma, as opposed to OND. Yet on this site I saw a few posts where some people said they used it, I.e. OND before BSc and OND before HND.

Can anyone please clarify?

Hello guys,

I have cumulative 5 years experience but I intend to only claim 2+ years from different companies out of the three I have worked for 'cos the job description match for both companies and not for the third.

Now the question; Do I have to state all work experience or I just fill in only the the ones I intend to claim points for?

Goodevening pple. Long post alert!!!!
Please I need some help:
1. Hope I can get reference letter prior to ITA (as am not yet in the pool sef). I left organization some yrs bak so wanted to start early but surprisingly they were swift.

2. Organisation did not give me reference letter in exact same format. They letter seemed a bit complicated and they aren't forth coming with correcting/simplifying it. Let me explain: I served with dem as a marketer and was retained also as a marketer for 3 yrs. So wanted the entire 4 years reference(I ran a masters programme while working so incase the masters yrs is assumed as part time, the 4 yrs will still make up 3 yrs max point fr me). Now they wrote; Nysc marketer 2008 to 2009.
Account officer 2009 to 2012, team member commercial banking 2012 to 2013.
All the above job titles are exactly same in the bank, they would have jst written marketer or acct officer in all rather Dan separating it to seem like diff job functions in same organization.
Den on job functions dey wrote " account officer/team member commercial banking" (den listed all the job function) they did not incluse the marketer (job title the letter gave me for NYSC. Even though all of the job titles are same with exactly same function, VO might not knw this and may assume they shuld represent different NOC. They also did not include my salary for the service year.
Meanwhile my 2 supervisors then have resigned with the bank so can't get any to write me a supporting reference with his complimentary card.
Can I write an LOE and perhaps attach the statement where I was paid salary for the nysc job. Won't the VO believe that there must be something different about the job titles to warrant the employer list all 3 of them it at different times dt i worked wt the bank.
I have called the guy that prepared the letter to save me all the stress by just capturing one job title to avoid confusion since we both knw that dey are exactly same but unfortunately he is adamant.
Kindly advice me

1. IMO, that should not be a problem. Hope you are diving into the pool soon.

2. Unless I am missing something here, the job titles that you quoted above can fit into one NOC. There is nothing wrong in capturing your work experience in the sequence of the reference letter that was issued by your former employer.

You can claim the 3 years to earn your maximum points as long as you have reference letters to support them.

You can also claim your NYSC if you want by supporting available documentation with LOE but I don't think that is really necessary since you already have 3 years in your kitty.

As far as I know, whether you did your MBA on part-time or full-time is irrelevant.

I do not have much experience in this area, but from the look of things, as it was stated clearly as 2 different degrees, OND (2 years) and BSc (4years),... It seems safe to claim 2 degrees or more.

Hi

I evaluated OND and HND and WES assessed as 2 years diploma (OND), 3 years diploma and 1 year post graduate certificate (HND+OND). I may not be able to explain the rationale behind this but I want to believe they have considered the 1 year internship.

Please note that from the attached screenshot ==>http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp. CIC have placed emphasis on post graduate, graduate and not just diploma earned before graduation. Only a Dual Bachelor’s degree (four years) appears to be an undergraduate degree. This is why assessing ACCA with WES alongside a normal BsC gives two or more certificates as it is double degree.

Trust this clarifies. This is my interpretation though, I would suggest you create your EE profile when ready and input the two qualifications, ensure that the ND is stated as diploma and your BsC as it is. Kindly let us know if it generates a score for two or more certificates so that the house can be better informed on what actually works in practice.

All the best

Hi Hopefuls/Successfuls,

Am really happy to be following this thread and it has been marvelous all the way. Am intending to submit my wife's EE profile soon. I would just like to know answers to the following questions before i decide to:

1. Do i need a PCC for my wife who has cummulatively 177 days give or take in the US? I understand the rule is to get one if ur 180 days and over. Read somewhere that u shud do for over 3/4 months for foreign PCC. A friend abroad told me I dont need since my wifes stay isnt up to that and he also said "trust me, u dont want to be giving FBI ur details really if u dont have to". To me, the above rule is quite clear, 180 days and over, get a PCC. If not up to 180 days, u dont need it. whats ur own take or experience?

2. My wife is a lawyer and her 1st year worked in a legal firm. She took time off to have our baby and post-natal for about 8 months. Then she took up a flexible job selling insurance for an insurance firm (as the legal firms were not recruiting again due to recession and she didnt want to go back to her former firm coz she didnt really like the place). She still does some legal work for some client by the side and helps a senior lawyer out with some legal work from time to time. Shes entering EE as a lawyer which is what she read and practices. We doubt the insurance firm will give us reference.. Now, how would you advice we go about her work references?

Thanks

Listening - I remember Acacia. I almost missed it. I slipped on 2 questions in section 4.
Reading was the easiest for me though. I had time to wee and even double-check.
I slipped up on the writing. I spent too much time on section 1. I was still on section 1 when I heard 20 minutes more. I didn't know how it happened. I rushed through the section 2. Didn't have time to proof-read. I was even afraid it might not be up to 250 words.

Fill the ones you want to claim points for when creating your EE profile and after getting an ITA, you will put the ones you are not claiming points for under the personal history section when filling your e-APR.
