Job Title: Salon Manager

Location; Lekki Phase 1 Area, Lagos

Main Purpose:


- To plan, control and lead the operations of a Hair and SPA Salon in order to achieve given sales and given sales and profit targets while ensuring company standards are maintained in respect of;
- Finance and productivity
- Quality of service
- Client / Customer Care
- Corporate / Brand Image
- Technical, Safety and Ethical Standards
- Staff and consultant management

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

- To achieve realistic pre-defined sales targets.
- To oversee efficient running of the salon area while maintaining day-to-day financial responsibility and ensuring that sales figures are accurately recorded and reconciled on a daily basis.
- To monitor and maintain stock levels and to ensure effective use of salon time.
- To ensure production of Monthly and Quarterly performance results.
- To ensure that staff maintain salon standards in all aspects of service.
- To maintain accurate records of customer/ clients records
- To maintain Quality, safety and ethical practices and procedures as defined by the Salon
- To arrange promotional and marketing activities to attract new customers and retention of existing customers
- To coordinate the development of new products and services
- To work with the Salon Owner / Director to promote the company's image / brand through all media e.g. advertising, shows (trade / public) and local publicity to enhance the reputation of the salon
- To carry out other duties commensurate with the post as necessary to maintain high standards of business practice


2. Required Experience.

- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current Health and Safety knowledge.
- Experience in Managing Staff of diverse background.
- Proven track record of keeping accurate records
- Using ICT data bases and managing inventories.
- Knowledge of effective stock control procedures both manually and computerized.
- New Products / services development skills.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Minimum of one year previous experience in a Managerial role.

3. Skills and Attributes

- Demonstrate effective strategies to increase client base.
- Manage marketing budget to maximize its potential.
- Implement promotions to increase customer base
- Implement promotional materials to raise the salon profile and project a commercial image.
- Monitor/ manage budgets effectively
- Demonstrate the ability to display materials to enhance salons appearance.
- Experience in managing people of different ages and background
- Ability to Coordinate the development of Staff
- Ability to stretch individual’s/ groups existing skills
- Coordination and Workload Management skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic service industry such as Beauty Salon.
- Willingness to contribute to individual learning plans


Qualification.

Minimum of OND Certificate
Professional certification in Sales or Marketing.
Qualification in Salon, beauty and fashion industry is an advantage.

Age.

Not More than 25 Years
