Building Collapses In Owerri; 5 People, Corp Member Feared Trapped (photos) by ObiOmaMu(op): 8:11am On Aug 13, 2017

A building opposite Nigerian Police station Egbu road, Owerri in Imo state has just collapsed.

According to Facebook user, Uwakwe Martins, about 6 persons were reportedly trapped inside, including a serving corp member. One person has been rescued.

Rescue operation is currently going on. Pictures below:

Once you have the knowledge of how to mix sand and cement to get concrete in Nigeria, you are a building engineer! I keep on telling people that using the professionals is always cheaper but they will never agree until it leads to this.
The ones that survived among the cheap and unprofessionals that you hired will now turn around and term you an occultic being in need of their blood. You will now have twin of calamity at hand, financial loss and questionable income!

If the concerned authorities arrest the quack engineer responsible for this building collapse, those people would organise protest, complaining about how the federal government is marginalising the ibos and arresting their son.

Hmmm, several reasons could be the cause but not limited to the following, engaging quacks / half baked professionals as Building engineers, using substandard products during the construction process to maximize profits and not following due process angry
