Well, contracting economy means contracting spending. So usually, I buy my 1k airtel data that totally amount to 2gig plus with the bonus and manage it for a month.

But something surprising happened yesterday. When I put on my data yesterday, it showed I've used 900mb plus. it was a busy day, so besides the intermittent checking of nairaland during the day, it wasn't till evening before I went through newspapers and scrolled through Facebook.

it was sleeping time, trying to put off my data, my eyes went eeeh! when it saw I've used over 2gig.

Calling their customer care, they said its normal.

I've heard about this their infamous act before but it's confirmed now. I'm sure airtel, at a point deliberately steal customers' data.

Unfortunately, none to report this to, NCC is as "useful" as the Nigeria police. So the only alternative is to pour out my mind on the only social judiciary Nigeria has, thank God for Seun.

Meanwhile, my wife subscribed same airtel since last week and she has not been able to use it till now.

Don't wanna believe I'm the only one in the forum this has happened to.

pls @lalasticlala, mynd44 help me let people contribute to this injustice

More than rip off.

After subscribing to their one month data, they purposely turn off their 3g service leaving it at 2g thus I could not use it on my modem.

I called their centre severally and they promised as usual to do something but till now it is still showing E on android phone.

The stuff is expiring today.

I'm starting to think they've increased the rate at which their andriod data runs. The 5gb plan I do hardly last up two weeks and I hardly download stuff. It wasn't like that before when I used to rollover unused data. Etisalat on the other hand has an accurate data usage rate albeit their expensive data. My sister sent me 150mb on the line I don't use for browsing not too long ago. I decided to check the data usage after I finished browsing with it and the device put it at 153mb. I'm already contemplating using Etisalat as my major browsing line sef.

Going by the words of one of the customer care agent, no increase in their data charges. So it left us with one gory truth, rip off!
