so i am a single 31 year old.... today is birthday!!!! i was actually very thankful yesterday just for life only n probably d ability to earn a few naira notes n it ends there. it is a tradition in our house to be prayed for on one's birthday by momsi but this morning, no birthday wishes, no prayers. i get the unsaid messages 'go n get married' or better still 'always have money when we need it even if u are not married yet' well i will wish myself all d best while i work out desperate measures to get married by next year. please my people wish me a happy birthday.

I can really relate as I'm going through same ish. Every Saturday evening when they return from wedding parties, they call and would be like :" xyz's son/daughter just got married, ppl have to coman celebrate our child's wedding ooo" and in my mind I'm like , well, you already have grand kids, free me jor.

I hope ur pain has been relieved? Read ur diary. At 31, u owe no one for ur life, ur parents have lived theirs. Noone came here by choice, we just make d best of our situation.

Since u don't blame anyone for ur choices, why not start making choices that actually make u happy?
