Well written and a real pointer to the "darkness and blindness" within our bogus politics of no reasonable substance. Only in Nigeria will the Emporium and mega city of a Country will parade miserable roads fit for jungles as Lagos. Mumu people in government.

Ambode is a scammer. I really don't blame him but the foo.ls who cheer and support him. He is claiming to repair the airport Road which the FG is supposed to fix and going about shouting itesiwaju eko to the gullible idio.ts who praise him. The street lights he claimed to spend millions on are all dead. Almost all the roads are terrible, from sabo, to ikorodu road, to cms to obalende,...and they pretend not to see it. How can we be having huge holes in the middle o the road and it will be left like that for over a year.

If you tell some fhool on NL what a failure Ambode is the way they will come at you fear go catch you. At times I even feel these people are more Lagosian than me despite the fact that am from Ikorodu. If this Ambide can achieve 1/3 of what Fashola achieved then he deserves a second term but I just do not see that happening. Eko rail full stop, Lekki homes completely dead, health no talk about that one. Education Lagos is no where to be found at WAEC compare to Imo n Anambra state. Security Baddo / kidnapping ti take over. Employment as been replaces with retrenchment n sack. I just de laugh. APC and Ambode needs to buckle up, they are only lucky PDP is not an option and will never be an option for Lagos State judging from the states they have governed.

Ambode is really slacking, what happened to LSPWC that were active all through Fashola administration, why must he allow Lagos roads to get dilapidated to these level.
LAWMA too are not working, Lagos is now dirtier. No new structures in the schools. Most street light projects he did at inception are no longer working. This is what we didn't get with Fashola, you'll see his touch in every aspect.

Ambode needs to wake up!

For the past few weeks that I have moved around Lagos, I am no longer so excited about Ambode's "achievements".

One of the things he has failed woefully is on maintaining what his predecessor did.

One of the excuse that has been given is that the heavy rainfall has led to the slow pace of road construction and maintenance. I'll wait till the dry season to see if there'll be an improvement in our roads because even that excuse isnt tenable.

Any Lagos govt that can beat fashola's job would have to work extra miles. Ambode is trying but Lagos is too big for him. The roads are completely bad. Local roads are d worst. What's d local govt doing. All this money derived from okada riders, keke napep and danfo drivers what are they using them for? Those money should be use to take care of d local roads. Lagos is finished

Of recent, Ambode has regressed. Prompt action needs to be done on both Island/mainland roads.

He needs to jack up the waste management and return the monthly sanitation exercise been done in Lagos during fashola era.

Didn't you see the reason given by the project manager for the mono rail delay in the thread that graced FP yesterday?

I can only say YES to the bolded but other points are inconsequential.

Lalasticalala please do the needful. This has to hit FP so the govt will take action and wake up from his slumber. The roads are completely bad. Now ambode want to creat BRT lane from oshodi to iyanopaja making d small road even smaller and force people to take brt instead of their cars. No expansion of d road. Traffic everywhere. From cele to jakande gate to ikotun, their is perpetual traffic even in d very early morning. People are suffering and smiling. They don't maintain d road after building.
Re: Lagos Roads Turning To Death Spots by xana101: 8:03am On Aug 20, 2017
The whole of Lagos is now very dirty. Lawma no longer work like they use to in fashola's regime. All streets should be tiled with revenue generated from danfo drivers, keke and okada riders ticketing money every day. What are those money for? Local govt should take possession of those money to build and maintain our local roads.

This seems like a post sponsored by the foaled Fashola himself , since I have been in Lagos I haven't seen a governor that has constructed or patched more road than Ambode the only problem I have noticed is that the continous use of that sham construction company is wasting good plans and taxpayers funds due to the poor nature of their constructions , A big city like Lagos needs the best construction companies to work and not a cut and join gang of cronies like Hitech Construction . The Governor also needs to look into the quality of work the office of Public Works is doing because they are really of poor quality and at times not well thought out ..Another place our amiable governor must look at is the ajah badore road which used to be one of the best roads in the state but when I passed there recently I was shocked at the rot caused by sand dredgers at that place ..Ambode has vision and that what matters in governance the most ..

This is not a sponsored post. Its for our govt to wake up and do d needful. The suffering is much on our roads. If he does it better, much credit will go to him. 30 minutes journey will take u 2 hours 30 minutes. That's affecting productivity level in Lagos and Nigeria at large. May God help us

Yeah sponsored posts. You would do well to keep quiet and kindly exit the thread.

Take a drive to Osborne - Ilubirin heading towards the 3rd Mainland and experience tyre ripping holes and gaps. That has been there for over a year now and nothing done about it.

Or take Marina towards the State house onwards Bonny Camp. A whole section of that road has completely failed and the other part riddled with potholes.

Or is it the underpass before the UBA house leading to Marina?

Or kindly take Ebutte Meta towards Herbert Macaulay Way Yaba and come back and respond to this post.

Or go to VI, Bar Beach bus stop to be precise and see how the road there has turned to a one way drive because of large craters on the road. If such could be happening in VI now imagine what would happen on the mainland. I purposely don't even drive through Apongbon at night even when it is the shortest route home because of the bad roads leading to severe traffic there giving pick pockets and thieves a filled day there.

The Road Maintenance team are the worst i have seen in years. Not even an effort to fix major roads. Lagos was celebrating 50 years of excellence painting and erecting useless monuments when basic infrastructure like roads were going extremely bad. i have had to change my back bushing and upper arms twice in the last 6 months due to bad roads. A colleague has had to buy 2 new tyres in the last one week both tearing apart from the sides due to bad roads.

I clearly think the Governor seems to be sleeping or LSWPC is headed by a dumb and deaf career politician that knows nothing about road maintenance.

Very apt and true. I frequent almost all the places you mentioned. The roads are indeed an eyesore.

I was in a terrible traffic one day from VI through Osborne, I even thought a vehicle broke down, only for me to get to front of that estate and discovered it was bad portions on the road that caused the traffic. I spent almost 4hrs to get to my destination that day.

You are not being truthful.

I equally supported Ambode, but that does not mean I should turn a blind eye to his failings.

During Fashola's regime, whenever there is a pothole or bad portion on a major road, I can authoritatively tell you from personal experience, that within a short time, you won't notice that particular pothole again.

Lagos State public works were very very active during Fashola. They seemed to have gone limbo now.

The same thing happened when Ambode came in, Lagos State Public Works did not do anything and all the roads started going bad and causing terrible traffic congestion. It was when people started complaining and abusing him that he mobilised them to start fixing the roads.

Mynd44, OAM4J, lalasticlala we need this on the front page pls. It has to be given publicity.

Lagos inner roads and even some major roads are going seriously bad causing traffic and attendant huge loss of productive time and even vehicle damage.
Re: Lagos Roads Turning To Death Spots by xana101: 11:11pm On Aug 20, 2017
Lalasticlala do d needful. Abi u no get car? Or u don't go out to see d shameful state of our roads. Alfred rewane into Osborn to 3rd mainland from 4pm to 8pm is a no go area. Govt should come up with plans to ease her citizens life. If u close from work by 5pm, at least 6pm u should be at home, eat, rest and still have time to sleep with ur wife if need be. But with d current situation, when u close by 5pm get home by 9pm, u only eat and sleep. No time for wife and family.

That same road he is creating BRT lane on is the road they claim belongs to federal govt. Now that he wants to expand his money making BRT business, they have ignored that fact that it belongs to FG but when you tell them to fill up the pot holes, they'll tell you the road belongs to FG and FG should fill it up. I wonder if lagosians die in an accident on these bad roads due to pot holes, will the corpse be FG or lagos state corpse?

I totally agree that Ambode - with that his Ninja Turtle head can never match any of Fashola's achievement in Lagos.

The Agidingbi Road - before and after First Gate Bus Stop all the way to Coca Cola is riddled with pot holes and I am sure Ambode plies that route frequently.

The only thing he does best is to go to Quilox & be popping champagne - Oloshi Oloriburuku. That was how his egocentric & village wife (with her ugly face that looks like idi iya basira) sacked the man of God in her church at Alausa simply because she wasn't honoured in the house of God - foolish woman.

Some are PAID to promote Wash-wash governments.

Lagos is a city of Paradoxes - Intelligent & Belligerently Foolish.

The last proper Governor of Lagos was Lateef Jakande

Bro read my first comment before I quoted that guy. Some of his points are inconsequential which I had to correct him. In terms of roads and waste management in Lagos, it is really getting bad at the moment .

I was at yaba some days ago and I was so disappointed with the refuse fiflth I saw on the road, even other places like Ikeja, VI is getting really so dirty.

What about the poor state of roads, Imagine the roads in VI at barbeach bus stop, landmark area and others. Ambode needs to wake up
