Why Are The Aged Allowed To Man Sensitive Political Offices? by Koskio(op): 10:16am On Aug 20, 2017
It is common knowledge that old age has its own drawbacks such as low productivity, frailty, senility etc. Even the Bible recognises this fact when in Ecclesiastes 12:1 it says: "remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come, and the years approach when you will say, 'I find no pleasure in them'".

While in the civil service, and even in the judiciary, nigerian lawmakers have taken congnizance of this fact and placed various age limits which compel the retirement of individuals to ensure the quality of service delivery is up to speed, no such provision has so far been made for political offices such as that of the president, governors and legislators?

Considering how sensitive and demanding these political offices are, is there really any justification for the absence of such statutory restriction?
