I was pondering on this issue after i came back from church service this morning and i decided to bring it up here so i can hear your opinions. Can the church i attend lead me to hell even if my heart is clean and my ways are righteous before the Lord. Because i also know the bible says Salvation is personal but can the church i attend make me miss heaven? Let me get your opinion.... |

idlemann:It depends on how much you allow the Church to influence your thoughts and actions. For instance, some churches compel members to do incantations and prayers that their wicked uncle, wicked everybody should fall suddenly and die. That is sorcery and members become 'witches' without knowing it. False teachers also make adherents think more of money, riches and personal gratifications than they could ever think of the Lord's selflessness, purity of heart and uncontaminated worship. Another group of false teachers built their empires on doctrines that run contrary to the Apostolic sound doctrines, take a look at some of them, you'll know it is more of cult groups and less of Christ. You can't be sure of a clean heart and a righteous state when gradually you are adopting the ways of such Churches. "Come out from among them and be separate" is still relevant today as it was then. |

idlemann:No your church can't lead you to hell if you study God's word and adhere to it strictly. Have constant fellowship with him is much importance than thinking of church leading you to heaven. Infact there's no church denomination in heaven and you wouldn't be judged based on that. Someone said something about praying for your uncle to die, I just smile because that's not issue op is seeking clarification. You can attend a church and they pray fall and die my enemies, it doesn't change the fact that God wouldn't judge you by your deals so why bother about who's fake or original. Didn't your bible teaches you that false prophets will rise? Did your bible say that false prophets will tell their followers to pray for their enemies to die?. False prophets must arise to fulfill the prophecy of endtimes. In a nutshell, have a close relationship with God instead of bothering yourself on whether your church would lead you to heaven |

Peter, the apostle, warned people about ALL MOGs (False Prophets and Teachers), from about 2000 years ago. 2 Peter 2 vs 1-7 (ERV)What peter said is indeed what we see happening here and now. Because of the AntiChrists also called MOGs, the world does not view Jesus Christ in a good light at all. You simply mention that you believe in the God of the Bible, and almost immediately you see the detest in their looks... nothing to do with persecution at all. No, they have become wary of those who claim to be Christians. The world is tired of the lies and deceit of MOGs - the hypocrisy that is claimed and justified in the name of God. These MOGs are the Antichrists as they have set themselves up as Masters over Jesus Christ's flock, pretending to be Teachers in His place. Their doctrines and traditions are twisted representations of the teachings of Jesus Christ, and in many cases many are deceived and led away from the Truth of Jesus Christ as a result. They sit themselves in the place of God in the minds of His own sheep and they steal, kill and destroy, for their own pleasure and kingdoms, that which God has planned for those who are His. And they do all of this in the name of God. MOGs are the false prophets that Jesus Christ warned His followers to beware of. These are the antichrists that the apostles spoke of even during their days. |

idlemann:Jesus Christ never said to attend anything like a Church. He warned us against all these MOGs(Men who set themselves up as Teachers in the stead of Jesus Christ Himself) who will come in His name but have nothing to do with Him. Their messages are nothing but lies and deceit. So, yes, attending church will definitely lead you away from God and into the arms of hell. These men twist the teachings of Jesus Christ and teach these lies to God's flock in His name. They do not know God and do not belong to Him. |
