During the numerous Neymar vs Hazard debates, I always opined Neymar being the slighty better player despite Hazard being my favourite EPL player. Before Carvajal and Asensio's burst to stardom, I predicted that both would be world-beaters with my views met with ridicule; well, who's laughing now. I might joke sometimes, but my analysis are always legit. You're the one being ridiculous, because I never suggested that low scores automatically translates to a successful season. What I meant was that it's better to breeze by with a moderate 2-0 win so long as they're "consistent", than to win 8-0 on an "irregular" basis.

We won PSG in the Champions league 2nd-leg by a wide margin, and yet lost the league game that followed despite the PSG's win being a huge morale-booster. Please, it's not mediocrity to win 2-0 with this current squad that is terribly lacking of its erstwhile vintages, it's only sheer pragmatism. Besides, the game evolves every year. Defenders get smarter each season, too. So, it's way more difficult to secure a win of that magnitude in 2017 than it would have been in 2012 or 2013.
