Despite the return of the President on Saturday and all the excitement that greeted His arrival from medical vacation abroad, the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) defeated the President's All Progressives Congress,APC in a bye-election held in Gombe State on Saturday.
The returning officer, Professor Mohammed announced the results in Malala, Dukku Local Government Area of the state on Sunday declaring the candidate of the PDP Alhaji Kawuwa Malala as the winner of Dukku North Constituency bye-election in to the Gombe State House of Assembly.
He said Malala polled 7,060 votes to defeat his opponent of the APC, Alhaji-Alhaji Inuwa, who scored 4,023 votes.
He said that PDP candidate, having satisfied the requirement of the law and scored the highest number of votes, was declared the winner and returned elected.
Siadu said three polling units with 1,700 votes cast were affected by irregularities and had those votes cancelled.
According to him, the cancellation will not affect the election, based on the electoral law.
The newly elected lawmaker expressed his happiness and assured his constituents of good representation at the Assembly.
Malala is to replace late Alhaji Gambo Kabade of the People Democratic Party (PDP) who died in June 2017.

Still trying to make sense of the post.

What has this election got to do with Buhari?all politics is local,and at the local election level,the PDP fielded a better candidate.

This proves,contrary to what the names sayers cry about in town that elections in Nigeria are muscled, better candidates still win elections freely.

What is the correlation ?

No man alive can compete Sai Baba come 2019.

Apc should just be picking up their items one by one, because with what Nigerians have seen, I don't think Apc will get a shot on target come 2019 election.
