I didn't believe it was possible for a footballer in this age to be on 10k a week. Even for doing nothing.

Of course, the alternative is to earn £3k as first choice at Boavista or Victoria Setubal. At this age man gasto think of his family. Man City third choice goalie Richard Wright was chilling on £6k per week for like 4 years. Even when City had goalkeeper injury crisis, they applied for special dispensation to sign a goalie outside the transfer window rather than use Richard Wright for just one game. These third goalies are just there to be used as training fodder, not even to play.

At some point, Jamal Blackman would have to decide if he is comfortable earning £10k (as third choice) for the rest of his career and never playing football but ensuring he never has to work after football. . . . or take a risk and move to League One on £3k with the hope of rising back up the leagues one day. If he makes a mistake and never rises above League One level, he would be forced to look for a job after football. I know what decision I would make.

Cunte had many advantages over Peps team last year, Many of the players inherited by Cunte got to Chelsea were young and good compared to those bought before Pep. Those Pep inherited were old and some mediocre.
