Why is it not clear to everyone that you cannot force free people into a marriage, it is only slaves; weak and helpless people, that you can force into marriage without their consent. People who confidently claim that there is a consensus of the ethnic groups in Nigeria to stay together should not be afraid to allow their claim to be put to test by a referendum. I have no doubt that except reason is allowed to prevail over force, the enlightened community will no longer accept a live of servitude that the current arrangement imposes on citizens from the southern part of the country.
