With the rate at which new phones and new software updates keep dropping like Olamide's song that won't last a month but will still be called a hit track; I'm seriously in need of advice on what phone to buy below N100,000 budget.

I don't mind using a Tecno device, when it's hot. So I had the Camon CX ManCity Limited edition in mind. But the recent Android Oreo release announced to be before the end of this year... with Tecno missing from the list, I thought I should stick with Samsung midrange device... that will be valued for another longer while, their specs is however depressing.


I need a minimum of 3G RAM, 32G ROM, latest OS and upgradable cos I wouldn't like to buy a new phone every year.

Please people, i'm in a tight corner here.

Nokia 6 is rated low because of the snapdragon 435...
The downgrade on Tecno, Infinix on this forum is also discouraging...
The poor specs of Samsung midrange devices...
The old version OS on HTC phones...

Please, no one should mention Umididi, Gionee or Injoo, I hate the sound of this brands.

Land Phone...That amount can still get you half plot of land in a Rural area then forget the land for maybe 5yrs and watch it appreciate, then you can decide whether to sell it for 500k or more. That 100k Phone of today go turn 25k in few yrs but land appreciates not depreciates like phones #BeWise

S6edge is an absolutely wonderful device around that budget for UK used.

LG g5, xperia z5, HTC10. These are as well totally sweet options.

They're flagships in their line and they enjoy regular and optimizing updates.

You will get xiaomi phones with specs better than what you put up there and still collect change. Ask this question on xiaomi thread and you will get suggestions for different capable phones below that price.

Dude get a London used iPhone 6 and have rest of kind or you can get a good London used Samsung s6 for that I think and I am sure the s6 will get the lastest update

Please I repeat avoid tecno, infinix and itel o except you want to be buying a new phone by July next year or earlier even

Try the slot website I am sure you will see some Samsung or HTC you can get new also go to zda forums and ensure you can install the latest update on the phone when it drops

But to be candid any phone that has the nougat. 7.1.1 already will surely get Oreo update

That's not true. I've been using tecno even since and not encountered any problems.
