I agree woth general gist of your logic, but surely that's still a waste of KDBs talent. The man is at his best playing probing passes and shooting from the edge of the box.

Telling to leave all of that and instead focus on playing as a DM is a near criminal underutilization of KDBs talent. Move him up to 10 and shunt Silva wide left like Mata. Then buy a solid CM to do the work needed.

City managers before Pep left the team with old players and unproductive players like Navas, Mangala Bony Jovetic, Dzeko.

Pep can only sign so much at once, rebuilding an old team takes time not one transfer season
