Just imagine how the media will react if an Igbo man goes to a farm in Benue State and destroys five tubers of yam, the whole Igbos will be accused of being the people behind Fulani herdsmen, there was a massacre in a church in Anambra and even any investigation the Police commissioner tied it to a drug war in South Africa, but when the man alleged to be the kingpin of the killers called 'Bishop' came out and challenged the FG to take him to court or ask South Africa to extradite him if the have any case against him the matter died but the media never did a retraction.
Sultan of Sokoto is accused of using Sokoto State bailout fund to buy his own house in Abuja for N700m the media quickly hid the story and went back to Diezani because her husbands name is Madueke.

Its all about stereotype of a group of people and its therefore better for Evans to quickly accept guilty verdict and ask the judge for leniency than allow the corrupt Police and Nigeria's own western media to use him to shine

how could you say the media exaggerated his case ?
according to police report this guy Had used sophisticated technologies to evade arrest for over six years . Now he's caught and tried and you suddenly become sentimental.

Holy crap up there. He's only trying to get off the hook by pleading guilty to crimes with light punishments hoping that that the police would drop murder charges against him. He was into armed robbery (attacks on bullion vans) before moving into kidnapping. During those days, it reported that police officer was killed in one of their operations. What do you have to say to that before you go further with your ethnicity game as usual?

Do you blow the story of Skull Miners as much as you have done with the Evans story. All the Skull mining stories are reported only once and we dont see them being arraigned and given wide publicity by the Yoruba media

You mine skull and you are caught, that's the end of journey for you. I wouldn't come on nairaland to defend the suspect just because of tribal affiliation and start playing the usual victim game.
You guys have penchant for defending criminals once the suspect is from your region. Why? When he was committing the crimes, were you part of it? Did you benefit from the proceeds of his crime?
