I am sure, he must have heard about Samsung Galaxy S8 plus and iPhone 7 plus cheaper than that ₦500k. So what else is he looking for? Tecno and other Chinese brands?

Let's just humor him and help him massage his ego. He wants to show us how rich he is and how nairalanders have poverty mentality for thinking 500k is too much to spend on a phone. He's not the first and won't be the last bragadocius rich nairalander.

Please raise your income, that is what I use and I'm no where near mad. I didn't even buy my phone as a status symbol but it was the fastest I could get in the market when I got it. Besides the naira has low value when you trade it internationally. Sometimes I go to the bank to withdraw dollars that fits in my back pocket and see it turn into polythene bags after conversion. Whatever you do, try to earn in dollar, earning in naira only makes you think the currency is special.

the thing is everybody cannot earn in dollars. There are folks earning in Naira. Actually almost everyone earns in the local currency. I am talking about those folks. For you its not much of a problem because you can afford it. I can afford a phone of 500-900 dollars and I wont be too moved about it because I know in what currency i make my money. I am talking of folks living in Nigeria and earning money in Naira.
