Please don't say that. Benue is not cursed. If not for anything but for the fact that they are the food basket of the nation, with ample fertile land for agriculture, is enough to disprove your assertion.

Just because they have been unlucky with the kind of people they vote into the governor's house does not in any way imply that they are cursed.

Quite unfortunate. Our prayers are with the good people of Benue. God will grant them the fortitude to bear the losses. NEMA and other good hearted individuals are welcomed to salvage this disaster.

We don't need to pray for Benue. Trust me, they are praying. We need to assist the displaced.
My neighbourhood is flooded (I'm not in benue by the way) and plenty people have had to move out of their only homes and seek shelter elsewhere.

If you can help even one person whose home is flooded, with food, clothing or shelter, you've made a difference.
There are floods in many parts of the country. Help someone, wherever you can.

Too many flood incidences this period. What is happening? Today you have your home, tomorrow you are displaced.

What we need is active help. Please help if you can

I am watching the response of the the American government to the victims of the Harvey storms both in Texas and Louisiana on CNN and I wonder when our government would get it right.

Am so sure there would be no coordinated effort from government of all levels to rescue the victims, place them on shelter before the waters would come down.

Where is the nationalism, where is the compassion, where did we get it wrong in this miserable country.
