The most plausible explanation is that they were washed into the compound by the flood...that's assuming there isn't a pond existing there

don't argue what you don't know. Have you ever been to the riverine areas in Delta eg Warriors? I've seen catfishes hatch in June grow till they get very big till around October when it gets dried and those not killed start sinking themselves in the soil

I have seen catfish do same...don't know about tilapia though....
So d scenario is quite possible!!!

Hi guys, this morning after the rain we noticed fishes coming out from the ground, though the soil is still a little bit wet but I imagined how they exist right here in my compound, that's what I don't know........... Fun thing though.
