The 2017 youth conference held in Awka, Anambra, on 7th September was a huge success as top government officials, investors and socialites turned up in masses to grace the social gathering of youths canvassing for peace and empowerment in the country.

The theme for the event was "Enhancing Youths participation in politics and building a generation of young business investors".

The colourful event, packaged by Ayonac, started off in a unique way with an inspirational speech from comrade Onyekachi Divine before ushering in the discussants, which includes 2017 Anambra state governorship aspirant Under NCP Engr Chinedu Okplalanma,Barr Oscar Mac Obi (SA on youths and student affairs to the Senate President),Barr Chuma Egonu (Former Local Government Chairman, Ogbaru LGA),Comrade (I.G) Ibrahim Garba Wala,Comrade Nnonyelu Williams Oguegbe Mustapha,Comrade Chineme Oguegbe.

The discussants observed that non recognition of the youths in politics contributed significantly to the ongoing agitations in South East.

Vice President NYCN South East,Comrade Nnonyelu Williams Oguegbe Mustapha insisted that Anambra election must hold, adding, however, that political parties that failed to produce a youth as its candidate would not get the blessing and support of Anambra youths.

According to a political observer and rights activist , Comrade Ibrahim Garba Wala, one of the negative things that have characterized democracy in Nigeria is marginalization of the youth who are the leaders of tomorrow.

Certainly, it is in the context of taking the bull by the horn that Engr Okplanma Chinedu declared his interest to run the race for the governorship seat of Anambra State against the high and mighty in November 18 governorship election in the State.

Okpalanma, a vibrant youth is aspiring to be governor of Anambra on the platform of the National Conscience Party(NCP). He is optimistic that the youths will give him maximum support to represent them at the higher level.

Barrister Chuma, a renowned political leader in Ogbaru , a densely populated suburb in Ogbaru Local Council of Anambra State, observed with dismay that in some cases, the youth are completely neglected and consigned to the back seat only to be used as thugs by political desperados.

Chuma is, therefore, of the opinion that as leaders of tomorrow, the youth have to be carried along today so as to get them prepared for tomorrow. He lamented that the old folks have failed to do the right thing by holding tight to the system and refusing to give the youth a chance to prove their mettle.

Barr Oscar Obi said that the group has a critical role to play as a grassroot movement, stressing that the current situation in the country demands that they rise to the occasion and consolidate support for the Progress of the state leaders ahead of the November 18th governorship election.

In a vote of thanks, the Transition National president of the Organization, Amb Phil Robert thanked the youths for engaging themselves, calling for more support for the present leadership. Also present at the event was the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Grassroots and Youth Mobilization, Engr Tony Uche and many others.

This group is very insignificant in Ibo land, and funny part of it that half of them don't even have voters cards, and even those that have voters card will be afraid of coming out on election day due to military presence and " No election campaigns" Igbos have been doing throughout this period.
Igbos should not vote, anybody that is telling you to believe in Nigeria should be seen as an enemy who is nothing but a maggot that is benefiting from this corrupt system we are in to.
Anambrarains should not look back in seeking for their freedom.
While the agitation is getting hotter, we progressive Yorubas are using this opportunity to tell the world that we are not only tired of this contraption, but we are also calling for a quick dissolution of this failed stagnant entity called Nigeria.
Enough of Northern/ Islamic dominance in Nigeria.
If you don't like my comment, you can go to Sokoto and stay with your spiritual leader after Oduduwa must have come because I don't give a damn about what some fulani Slaves among us think.

God bless Adeyinka Grandson and all lovers of freedom out there.

My contribution here is simple.

We have three major tribes in Nigeria and countless minorities. All the majorities and minorities in the South are somewhat no longer interested in Nigeria. Some of the minorities in North have no affection for their cohabitation with Fulani. When you do the math, beside Fulani, no one else is truly interested in this Nigeria the way it is currently. The cry from every non-Fulani angle is for a restructure or a total separation. So then we must ask what is needed to bring about a capitulation of the Fulani opoosition and so the voice of the people can prevail.

Each part of the country knows where the shoe hurts its feet and how to pad the feet and bring relief or replace the shoe completely and no longer be bothered with pains. What works for one will not work for another. Therefore each must derive its own voice and pressure point against the center.

If wisdom in the East calls for abstention from election and if by abstaining you can successfully accomplish a goal, then I see no reason why that should be a problem amongst Ibos, elites or not.
You must reflect upon your abstentions in past and how successful you were on your goals.

The sit-at-home approach seems to work everytime you observe it. So between now and the November election you must collectively reflect and agree on whether the interest of your people come first or the interest of Fulani hold on power come first.

One of the diasadvantages with Ibos is your attachment to rights and constitutional correctness. Stop branding your right to live as a derivative of the constitution. There are loopholes in the constitution that can erode whatever rights you claim. Instead assert your right to live contingent upon the native customs of your land and your people.

It is noteworthy that at the Yoruba Summit last week, while non of the APC Governors were in the stadium in Ibadan, they were discreetly at another location in the same town holding a SW Governors meeting. Really? Is Fayose no longer a SW Governor, and why was he at the stadium and not in this discreet meeting? This is a strategy at putting interest before rights. Rather than confront the party machineries, the Governors used tact to make ends meet and avoided the risk of becoming newsworthy and a shift away from the mainstream demand for restructure. Meanwhile in the stadium every top rank Oba in Yorubaland was either there in person or represented, from Ooni to Alaafin, Awujale, Alake, Deji, Eleko, and so on... No politics is attainable in Yorubaland without an endorsement from Obas.

The Governors in SE need Kanu and IPOB. The traditional rulers need Kanu and IPOB. You may not like his approach or his message and lack of tact but he has become a force to reckon with whether you like it or not. The knowledge in the center is that Kanu is a lone voice and the elites of Iboland would rather do away with him and minimize loss to commercial investments in North and West and everywhere else. If your elites and rulers and professionals and politicians submit their conscience and voice to the Fulani manipulations at this critical time you would have taught the Fulani, a second time around (after events of 1966), that you need constant supervision in order for him to be at peace....and trust me they would never let go once they occupy that role over you. So this is the time to make sacrifice of everything else and secure your liberty from everybody, whether Fulani or Yoruba.
The Anambra election is an endorsement of the center and legitimize of the Fulani refusal to restructure. It is not in the interest of your people. Your interest should be to force the center to give to you what rightfully belongs to you...if abstaining from the election will bring a realization of that determination then so be it.
The most powerful political advantage you have scored so far is abstention from social engagements when called to do so by your people. Others are now afraid of the unknown and the extent to which your abstention can truly upset electoral outcomes...they are unwilling to test your resolve, they will send out force to whip you ahead of November and wipe that resolve out of your spirit.

It is only the election period will justify the possibility of voting to hold or not. All these false information and gathering here and there are not the real measure of election to be conducted or not.
