In the ongoing FIBA Afrobasket 2017, Nigeria's National Basketball Team the D'Tigers will on Thursday the 14th of September, lock horns with their Cameroonian counterpart, in an encounter that promise to pose another big test to the D'Tigers after being unconvincing in their last match which they lost to Democratic Republic of Congo 83 to 77 points. The DRC topped group A with 3 wins, while Nigeria came second in the same group with 2 wins and a loss to the group leader, thereby setting Nigeria against Cameroon who emerged the leader of Group C with 2 wins and a loss to Tunisia who eventually emerged the second in the group. It is very important that Nigeria emerged victorious against the Cameroonians on Thursday, because anything to the contrary would see them not qualifying for the FIBA World Cup in 2019. Qualifying will also give them ample time to prepare for the world event, as the team is essentially new with promising and bludgeoning talents. Let us sent our best wishes and encouragement to the team. They need to know that Nigerians are behind them and sheering them on. GO! Go! D'Tigers. Go on and defeat the Cameroonians. Go ahead and qualify for the World Cup. Go! Go ahead and defend your title successfully and bring the Championship trophy back home.! Up D'Tigers! Up Nigeria! |
