First let’s not think of “politics” in the narrow sense of “my party versus your party” or throwing chairs at your opponents in a “hallowed chamber”.

According to Wikipedia, politics is “the process of making decisions applying to all members of each group”.

Thus if you’re making a decision that directly or indirectly applies to a group, technically you’re in politics, even if you never ask anyone for votes.

Now what sort of decisions are you making?

If you decide to keep seeing “politics” as that dirty game reserved for “all these corrupt politicians”, it will affect the quality of your life.

As long as you believe other people are in control of your life, you’ll never take the initiative to change anything for yourself.

No, this is not justifying the laziness of the “career” politicians; it’s not right for elected officials to abuse the trust of voters by looting the treasury, turning young people into hungry applicants for any available “social media” role.

But what are you going to do about it?

Are you going to keep staying with the crowd always shouting “don’t worry; we’ll chase you out within the next four years”?

How are you going to pay your bills before the next polls?

You cannot do that by complaining about lack of jobs or moaning about how much of our money is being used to polish up some oloshos. (OK, I agree: that’s a bit annoying)

But you’re educated enough to make the right decisions on what you can do to solve a problem and get paid for it.

For instance, look at all the time you spend online, viewing parts of people’s anatomy and watching celebrities “clap back” and inventing new curse words for “opposing” ethnic groups.

Instead of all that, you could also decide to spend some more time learning a new skill on YouTube. You could reach out and make new friends who are heading in the right direction.

It’s easy to keep criticizing the decisions of the “career” politicians, but what decisions are YOU making to improve the situation?

Remember: we are all in “politics”

Thank you

Mentality like this is why all these old folks are ruling us today,

When the youths shy away from the decision making in the country,

Dude there is nothing wrong in having discussions on political issues.

Thanks for the comment.

I'm curious: who says it's wrong to have "discussions on political issues"?

However "discussions" that are more or less trading blames don't really help the youth.

Thanks again

True!

Blame game never solves anything
