i know most pple will not believe it but blogging is fun here in nigeria if u know the simple rules. .most bloggers open blogs in naija and dnt submit or open a goggle search console where the site can be crawl and index by google so as to appear on goggle search engines. .i open 5 blogs which i manage myself daily. .they are all doing well on Google search appearing on page one always. .I started blogging since May 2016 and got my first pay by Oct 2016 of $300. .since then I have always smile to the bank monthly. .it's against Google ad sense rule to display how much u earn but my estimate is between N200 to N300k monthly. .there is no point saying lies here but there are some who don't make anything from it. u got to have passion and be fingered to start blogging. .I know I had the passion for it but I was more motivated wen the guy that introduce me into it, a year one uniport student was making N800k plus monthly. .I saw it with my eyes and got moved up. .so my dear a lot of n aija bloggers are making it and some don't blow up the trumpet. .they prefer to keep a low profile and be business minded .you can call me on 08033559733 to look into ur site for u free.. .thanks

Truth be told most people don't make much. Reason is because you need a lot of traffic I mean well targeted traffic to earn. if most of your readers are from third world countries like Nigeria, trust me you won't make much. But when you start getting readers from first world countries like US, Netherlands, Germany and England then you can make some cool cash even with a 1000 daily pageview. I can tell you most people fighting for traffic from Nairaland don't really make much.

well it all depends on the possible of establishing the blog. I know someone who has a tech blog with about 3000 - 5000 pageview daily and he is not monetizing it cause he was denied by AdSense. So he just continued sharing and posting on his blog. To him its more fun then posting on Facebook.

If the ideal is all about making money, blogging became hard but its all about building a brand, then it became fun. Although stress, but profitable if its done properly.

But the truth remains. Only a few really get to make it.
