I won't judge you babythug.
Every woman has her tactics in dealing with her husband because she knows and understands him better.

In your case, I guess you forgot to consider his kind of person/personality before forming the habit.
Did you ever feel guilty when you collected the money cos if na me enh...I'll have used my mouth to confess in the course of gisting because of guilt feeling. Its hard to cover price inflation o.

Now him finding out must have hurt him deeply because there is tendency to think you've not telling him whole truths etc. infact you don enter ya own smiley

Just get ready to hear him refer to this matter every time you're collecting money but bear it with patience. He will get over the pinch.

babythug:
Happy Saturday everybody! Trust we are all good? To those who got some kpekus, how una dey? To we who didn't get tonight is another opportunity to try lolwink

I thought of something this morning and felt we could all discuss it! I've recently* developed a habit of inflating bills for hubby and sometimes "embezzling" the said monies! I do it sometimes because I need extra cash which I don't want to ask for and sometimes just for the fun of it and because he's my Husband!

Anyway I got busted and he involved some third parties who of course really scandalized the whole matter and I really was embarrassed and it seemed like it was a totally unheard of thing ie for a wife to chop her husband's money!

I always felt if caught it would be settled under the "I'm your wife -diplomatic immunity"!

What are your thoughts? Was it sooooooo bad of me?

Like Jazzy said, depends on his personality. I don't think it's that big a deal but some people will say it's breach of trust etc. He's obviously in the second category. Now you have to humble yourself and learn new kpekus styles

@babythug just as someone said, it depends on the kinda man you married. my husband will be unhappy too but I don't think he will bring in third parties. then personally, dunno if it's because I'm working, I tell him the correct prices then if I get it lower, in the course of gist, I mention it.

unfortunately your husband may be pissed for a long time since he could bring in third parties so get ready to hear him occasionally make reference to it or query you plenty when you make requests/purchases.

Awww, you know the kind of dh you have ma. Me I do it wella, I collect my apriko grin money with joy, learnt it from my mil. I do it with every purchase. I do it for the fun of it and because I have bailed us out on severally occasions with said apriko money, my dh doesn't really frown at it. With this recession, I had to reduce the amount I inflate drastically. This one that he involved third party (don't be surprised say na dem do pass grin), well, water don pass garri oo. How I resolve most issues with my dh is by playfully telling him, it hasn't never failed me, maybe you can try that. Also like hunniesuzie said, goan learn new kpekus styles. Sorry mammy. We are with you in the spirit kiss.

Good evening mothers. I've been in the anon mode since early July but I need to come out now. I was transferred at work to Lagos in February from Ibadan while I was 4months gone to a higher position that required me doing 3weeks travels to different parts of the country and 1week in Lagos. My husband is in Ibadan. I ended up becoming anaemic at some point (Ftm) and well at 8months, my family insisted I quit. I've been home since End of May till I had my baby early July. I recently started reapplying but I haven't gotten any offer yet. My husband insists we all stay in Ibadan as he doesn't think I can cope alone with d baby and work in Lagos (I've also realized that Lagos stress in not for the faint hearted). The reason for my Epistle is that I need a job in Ibadan. I have a B.Sc (2.1) and a M.Sc in one of the basic medical courses. I am however open to all offers if I can be trained as I learn fast. Please Ibadan mothers, help a bored mum. Housewife life isn't for me as I'm losing myself daily. God bless you.

Phew!!! That was a long one. I feel much better already.

Babythug you know your hubby better than anyone here, forget those self righteous people that blew the whole thing out of proportion. As a mama said, get a new kpekus style that will shake his senses outta this world cheesy after the do, you can then apologise and promise not to do that again.
I personally don't do that cos hubby loves shopping esp foodstuff and secondly he keeps money in the house and once it's untouched for some days he gets angry and scolds me for not using the money. I usually end up apologising and using it for little chops around, so I've not had such experience of inflating price of things. I did that for my Dad a lot sha, and my mum also did same to get enough money to buy some things that we will all end up using or eating. The anger I believe is just for a while, so just try and lay low and apologise.

Hi Moaba,

I would suggest you take time to nurse your baby till at least 6 months before starting a new job. While you are at it, think of any other thing you can do in case the job does not come at the time you want it.

You can entertain yourself with you tube videos on whatever you have always desired to learn but had no time for.

Again, have you tried LinkedIn for job opportunities. Market yourself well with your profile. I'm sure you'll be smiling soon.

Enjoy...
