According to him, he said the reason for the arrest was that that following the uproar that took place in Aba some few days ago which led to the burning down of Ariaria police station and a mosque located at Azikiwe Asa by some angry youths, the Nigeria army have accussed IPOB of being behind the civil unrest and have been going house to house to arrest every IPOB members known to them.

He further said A military man who is in solidarity with our struggle that confirmed the report warned that every IPOB members starting from local coordinators to members should be very very vigilant tonight as no one knows where they are coming from, he also adviced IPOBIANS in Aba should start watching their back while going home to know if there's anybody that is tracing them.
